I was an undergrad there, 1970-1973. It led to a masters and PhD at Michigan, and a great career as an epidemiology professor and consultant at one of the top Schools of Public Health and med school in the country. I got a great education in multiple fields at UR. It was great to see this.

Some of the best years of my life. Made lifelong friends, had a stellar education, and ended up with a career I love. For all the pre-meds, there is a fantastic academic hospital where you can find clinical research, shadow, volunteer, etc within walking distance. You can also take classes at Eastman School of Music which is a nice bonus.

This video calls out memories in Rochester as a graduate student. Haven't been into classroom for three months.

I’m thinking about whether or not I should apply ED to Rochester (I have a good shot based on the stats) or should I try other more competitive schools like JHU or Cornell University? I am planning to do pre-med and major in a science field. Don’t know if Rochester is the school for me..?

HI. I just entered high school and I need to keep my gpa up. How high does it need to be to apply?

    • @benjaminwelkens8118

      I applied with a 3.2
I had a solid SAT score and a fair amount of extra curriculars
I think an interview really increased my chance of getting in

What the hell you going to do with a theater and sign language class. Omg . Kids these days are so clueless and are in for a HUGE SHOCK when they graduate . Never will be able to support themselves off such degrees.

American Sign Language interpreters are in increasingly high demand and make an average of $22 per hour. They must possess not only the hard skill of being fluent in American sign language, but also the more abstract communication skills, expressiveness, and presence that can be developed through theater. Not every good job requires trade school or a STEM degree.

Yeah…hopefully her family is well-off…so she probably doesn’t need to generate her own wealth…otherwise that major makes no sense…and why would you go to U of R for that…go someplace in California.
