"Lookin' Out My Back Door" is one that will make you feel good, Ace. It's so fun. John Fogerty wrote it for his kid I think. And then it became a huge hit. I think it's great when you close your eyes and get into it, because that's exactly what I do when I listened a lot of the time, even during reactions like this. I even do that sometimes when I'm playing an instrument or in a band.
Definitely one of their greatest hits. My fave is probably "Down On The Corner," which I'm pretty sure you've already played. They have a lot of hits for having been around for only a few years, pretty much like The Doors.
Metaphor for disaster...The song can be interpreted as a metaphor for disaster, with the rain representing the inescapable reality of the government's hypocrisy.
Cool. "Who'll Stop the Rain" says what it needs to say, no more no less. Brevity is the soul of wit, as it were. Historians often frame the sixties as a era cloaked in the shadow of the optimism of President Kennedy, which faded with his assassination, other assassinations, the war in Vietnam, the urban race riots, and the trend towards a general hardening of the heart in the seventies and eighties. The fall of the USSR brought a renewed hope to the last decade of the millennium. But the 9/11 attacks put an end to that right quick and it was back to war and tax cuts for the rich.
Another great Woodstock inspired song. Fogerty an absolute genius songwriter.

I absolutely love CCR, they’re music literally speaks to you in many ways, this song is I believe about politics
Ace not sure if you reacted to CCR rendition of I Put A Spell on You. If not, you definitely should check it out. ❤CCR

Representing Viet Cong bullets too more likely.
I tried to comment twice about the origin of the song with a link, it seems to have been deleted
