Episode 148 - How to replace anti-roll bar link pins on a Jaguar XJ6 X300

- It's back on the Jag once more, to hopefully get her 100% ready for her MOT. This time, I'm replacing the link pins on the rear anti-roll bar, another job that I've never tackled before. In the end, it was fairly straight-forward.
As ever, let us know what you think!

Great video mate, nice jobs too, this time next year the Jag will be concourse condition 😊
Might need a bit more effort than a couple of new link pins, but it's getting these Jason! HaHa!
Glad you enjoyed the video. More to come on the Jag very soon.
I replaced it 1 month ago, the only problem is rust. I cleaned the rust off the rod and repainted it. Lubricated the whole rubber silencer with silicone grease.
Sounds like a good idea that. Looking at mine, I probably need to get a lot of the underside rust sorting! Lol.
Another great upload Jimmy as a new subscriber im slowly working my way through your feeds top stuff as per usual, as soon as I watched this episode I headed straight outside to the jag (96 3.2 executive) to check on the condition of mine ...Shock horror i don't have an anti roll bar or drop links? are these an option do you know or is it because yours is the Sport model? any feedback would be great thanks fella ;-)
Thanks very much Stef. Really appreciate that. Glad you're enjoying the content and that it's inspiring you to work on your X300! 😁
To be honest, I'm surprised yours are missing altogether. I would have thought these were compulsory, given that the poor condition of mine resulted in it failing the MOT. Do yours have the holes in the control arm and anti-roll bar to fit them?
Nice one. Thats a bit odd with the droplink bushes having to be cut. There's deffo no way they'd have ever gone in.
Youd think they'd have just come as two separate bushes. 🤔
Thanks pal. I suspect that proper Jag parts might have been a bit easier to fit.
But, yeah. No chance of the ones I had fitting in without the use of the knife! Lol.
It's done the job anyway. Another step closer to being back on the road again.
@jimmykneesall All you can ask for really, you gotta do what you gotta do. Looking forward to the next one, keep em coming 👍🏻
@@swaitsysg4415 Will do pal. Thanks very much for the comments and support!
