If you want to spear at Boyd's bay bridge the best time is early morning at high tide, second and third pylon out from the Ivory side and you will clean up on mangrove jack and flathead, occasional Jew too 👌, best of luck Boyz 💯🙌
good attempt for your first spear, just thought you should know your spearing on the illegal side of the bridge,..... you can only spear from the bridge west
Some good advise in these comments. I'll add to it by suggesting you attach a float to your gun. That's what the shark clip is for. You will never lose your gun and the float may save your life. Great first attempt 👍👍
always worth double-banding to avoid cutting the dive short when your dyneema breaks! Good idea to have some spare bridles in your kit as well so you swap them out. Have dived that site a few times and the tidal swing can be intense so you had the right idea with a slack tide drop in
Make sure youre equalising as you go down bro! Nosebleeds definitely do happen but they shouldn’t be. Best to not push it if it does happen you can do some damage to your sinuses that’ll put you out of the water even longer 🤙🏼 nice work tho looks like some pretty cool terrain round there
Great vid. That was a serious bleed man. I don’t think I’ve ever had one that bad. You should probably get out when you see that haha. I would honestly just try to do your best to go straight to the bottom next time if you can equalize your ears. Sit there even if only for a few seconds. That’s probably the best way to lure in good fish if they are in fact in the area.
Do practice breathe holding in shallow waters before going down a couple or meters. Spearfishing is best done if you have some bottom time cos it's not really good chasing fish.

You must steady in underwater to have a clear shot.

Nose bleeds are not common and should not happen!!! Learn to EQUALISE before diving... I regularly dive to 10-20m and never had a nose bleed
