She isn't playing in live of course. It's playback, you can notice it when you watch her fingers and listen to music.
Dr. Robert Culocane just look at her left hand fingers it’s mostly not working when she dance
Epitaph . . This is because the of video’s edition, the cuts and everything is edited lol, look for videos at her live concerts she makes a lot of mistakes and even once she fell, she doesn’t use playback for her concerts, just this one because of the edition for UA-cam. Still very impressive what she does.

I'm thinking that she started like every other instrument player. Beginning to learn, nails on a chalkboard sound. Now look at her. When did she start doing concerts? XD you know what I mean?
I play viola for those of you who dont know a viola is a string instrument place between the cello and violin and is shouldered like a violin but has the same strings as a celli just shortened to compensate the base of tbe viola is usually wide. I also played violin for a year and i know how hard this would be i can barely move around best i can do is slight motions which help me play specially in slow moving pieces

Nope. It's all real. Last year in July I went to her concert in Dallas and she had fallen on stage in the middle of a song. She fell and the violin stopped and there is also another show where her violin was way out of tune in a song so she had to switch mid-song. So yeah. It's all live pure violin. :)

It is . Because u can still hear the very small „ cracks“ in her violin when she plays . That’s authentic . I used to be on her concert 9 years ago and it was reaaally her playing ☺️💜🥰🥰

@@stephane6582 do you have evidance for that? there is plenty of footage out there of her playing live doing this that is provabley her because of things like strings snapping or the like. she can play like that so why do you think this one of fake?
My favorite thing about Lindsey is just how many things set her apart from other people who have been lucky enough to gain a large audience through what they do. Watch the way she interacts with her band members in this video- that's real chemistry, respect, and friendship out on display. At the end of her shows, she calls the entire crew onstage and introduces all her dancers. She still holds creative control over her videos, even if she can't do as much of the work on them as she used to. She is such a unique individual.

I was so lucky to have seen Lindsey play during her Music Box Tour when she visited Grand Rapids!
artic flame Lucky one :) My daughter(7) sadly had bad luck as end of this month Lindsey finally Comes to my town (Freiburg - Germany) to the ZMF (suggested it last year as it is a great Festival right in the middle of a free of Charge zoo).Sad Thing, the concert is just a few days before summer Holidays and she cannot come due to School and everything... Next year we will make it, no matter what. She is a huge fan.

Once again, I am utterly flabbergasted by this woman's talent.
This tune was among my favourites previously, but this version is absolutely stellar - even better than the studio (the mark of a truly great artist, in my opinion ;-)

Proof Lindsey is one of the best violinists in the world. U realize how hard it is to both play the violin and dance at the same time without losing a beat. Most violin players would never be able to master something like that. U rock Lindsey.

I was talking to someone about her because of the original music video. He told me he liked the video but the music was from the studio. I told him that I knew that, but she actually does dance and play the violin in her shows. I then showed him this video and all he could say over and over was, "You have got to be kidding me." At the end he said, "No freaking way" then watched her videos for the next hour. (And he does not impress easily).
This was my favorite performance Lindsey did when I saw her in Denver. She and Gavi slayed it... :,(

I would say she is playing, but the sound you get doesn't come from her violin... so not miming, but still not live.

Whas this really live? 'Cause sound quality seems almost identical to the album song! If it is, that's simply great.
Psykops2 It's close, but not quite. At certain times you can tell that the violin is just a bit off-key., such as at 2:38

Psykops2 If you have seen her live, you would know that it isn't playback. Lindsey and the band are very good at what they do.
Karsten Mahlzahn really? all i can hear is a violin a drumset and an electric gituar... and all i can see, is a drumset a violin and an elecrtric keyboard type instrument wich could easily reproduce guitar-sounds..
This isn't play back, and expecially in the last part of the songs she didn't hit the notes like in the studio version. I think the recording was made directly from microphones, in fact you can't hear the crowd screaming (be sure that it was). But that's just my opinion. I think everyone who buy this would prefer to see a live recording, it live from London, instead of playback, and Lindsey has no need to do playback
Seeing this live a couple of years ago during this tour made me fall in love with this song. It'll never be the same without our keytar hero. RIP Gavi.

It's my understanding that, after a battle with cancer, his immune system was really weak, and he had something else happen, and sadly, wasn't strong enough to overcome it.
I was lucky enough to attend this concert and get quite close to the stage! I've found myself twice in this video already!! Man, this show was awesome and something I will never forget. I was the goon with the light ginger hair and the red blazer looking thing xD

For those not aware, the keyboard player dancing around with her, the one she fistbumps at the end, died of cancer. There's tons of tour videos with him you can find. He was so hilarious and always made Lindsey laugh. They were best friends. :(
Yah. She talked about Gavi at her concert last dec 1 in Oklahoma.
I've been a metal head for over 20 years. Lindsey, you have opened up my eyes. The stereo in my truck is not the best but I always crank it! Keep rocking!

I have this DVD and it never ceases to amaze me. The music itself is awesome enough. But to actually see it being played while your dancing like that...that is the most incredible kind of talent you have there.
Is it to soon to say "I love you Lindsey"... relax I mean your music talent and the gift you bring to the world, I can not wait to see your concert you have become one of my go to listening choices, please never stop at least for my life time and I am 46 so you should be here long after I am gone, I think I am going to have your music played at my funeral.

People don't appreciate the drummer enough- he was doing a great job (i get this wasn't his show) but he deserves more appreciation 💀
i saw some people saying that it was back track, but a way to tell that it isn't is at 1:00 in the video it won't go on and play the rest of that measure. But at the show it did. so she has been playing it perfectly and has been getting her dance moves in. just thought it was something to put out there :)

I would love her to play in the U.S. soon. It's so GREAT when I mention her to my peers who are my age ..in our 50's and then to my teenage granddaughters.. they all know her music and like it..or like myself LOVE it. I've purchased 2 of her CD'S. Younger have purchased the music on their phones etc. 💕 You Lindsey Stirling. A Mimi in very South Alabama.
Amazing is the best word to describe this woman. I could spend probably over an hour listing specific aspects of her that fit this word perfectly. Whether they be from her personally, professionally, spiritually, or in her dedication and performance ability, Amazing covers it all!

Lindsley is the only violinist I have seen who can dance very energeticly while playing violin. Very talented and she has done a lot of wonderful music!
I've been following your music since the time cristalize first blew up and was all over the place and i still get amazed how you can both do those vigorous dance routines in a live performance while playing your instrument so amazingly. All hail lindsey :)

I was here :D I came from Spain to London just to see Lindsey, also got to meet her at the M&G! This concert was just amazing, one of the best experiences of my life. And i have just preordered a copy from the dvd!

November 22nd 2015....actually he healed from cancer and was realised from the hospital and was in a very good mood but only two days later he had two continuous cardiac arrests and died before he could get to the hospital

I was able to go see her on her second visit, although she was just the opening act. I was a little late to arrive but when I did, she was actually in the middle of playing this song, which is also my favorite. I swear, it was the first time I cried tears of happiness when I heard her 😂

I remember seeing Stirling 8 years ago when I first watched her do the Halo theme with William Joseph here on UA-cam. Such a great Musician and glad to see how much she's grown since 2014.
