    Scoop the batter before chilling to lessen the struggle later... Chill balls covered on a tray... Use as directed

      Excellent tip! Saved on chilling time because they were smaller and definitely saved on the struggle of scooping a hardened cookie dough. Thanks!

    I have now made these SO darn many times. I make little half parchment envelopes and sit them in a cute box as teacher gifts! ❤️ Every single time I give them to someone they call later and ask for the recipe! I also make them (sometimes) with 1/3 cup cocoa powder and but then in the gift box every other, one regular cookie one chocolate-chocolate cookie. They are show stoppers!

      I think a nice idea would be to lay it flat and then cut in squares like brownies.

I didn't know how to work with my oven at first so my cookies got different results but one thing that did not fail is its impeccable taste!!! Question, what are your thoughts on making this or your biggest thickest chocolate chip cookies by replacing the sugar with a sugar substitute and brown sugar substitute? It measures cup for cup, but I'd like to not use the sugar for someone and use sweetener, like Monk Fruit or similar and Swerve brown sugar. I'll love to hear your thoughts! Thank you! ❤

      Hmmm most of the time when this happens there is a little too much flour in the dough.

    Hi This recipe is just what i am looking for. I need to increase the size of the cookies to about 8 inches. I can work out how much dough to use but not sure how long to cook them for. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. thanks

    I have a problem so i forgot to put the egg yolk and I already finished making the cookie dough, can i just put the egg yolk to my cookie dough? Or will it affect my dough?

    • @SugarSpunRun
      @SugarSpunRun  4 роки тому

      I guess it's worth a shot here, but it has to be well incorporated. If you leave it out the cookies won't spread as well and won't be as soft.

    I'll try this one as well to compare with your other choc chip cookies. What's the difference between them? I'd brown my butter here too for that flavour boost.
    I noticed you used a dark baking pan here. I have dark and light pans and noticed my dark pans brown cookies much faster (sometimes burn them) than the light aluminum pans. For the recommended time of 14 to 16 min do you recommend the darker pans here?

    • @SugarSpunRun
      @SugarSpunRun  2 роки тому

      All of the cookies have their own slight variations to make them unique. This one has a few adjustments made to make them bake well as large cookies. As far as the bake time goes, I would always start low and check them so you don't run the risk of burning them. :)
