Man this song brings back memories when Trini was Trini , liming, playing marbles, windball cricket, small goal football, it's ashame I wnt home twice in the last 2 years and the kids dont even play in the road in trini the way they used to, not to mention the crime which is really upsetting
I loved this video. Tears came to my eyes as I watched these amazing historical pictures. What i find amazing is that this song was sang back in the 90s or so and I would settle with going back to that time. This world is going downhill fast with all this poverty,recession, hatred and terrorism, What we had back then is gone (or going fast). Now we find relief in artistes that tell us to become more "wutless" and insensitive rather than open our eyes to whats happening around us.
I am Trini to the bone , love every thing about my country and I teach my daughter every thing about the old time days, just like the song say I know things must change but I still love the old time days. We must teach our children about our rich history and carry on in love.
Don't feel too badly my boy. Change is agreat and Trinidad is pushing forward but at the same time we seem to eb losing the things that made us unique. AS much as I can, I've been trying to preserve things by collecting and photographs. We have to remember!! Thanks eveyrone for the comments, we all have equal share in this.
