- In today's video I share some unfortunate updates about my plans for school and moving. These are hard times, and even 5 months in, things are constantly changing. I don't know what the future holds. I don't know when I can go back to school and live my life. But I know that it will end, eventually. Until then, hang in there. We can do it.
Also, I am aware that my hair looks terrible in this video. Sorry. I wasn't in the mood. Really, when you haven't had a haircut in 5 months, you don't always look great. But that's okay. There are more important things than hair.
Really feel that about having a guide dog. Koda is 6 and I feel so guilty having her sit around not doing much. I try my best to keep up with her obedience training and taking walks around my neighbourhood, but it isn’t the same. I feel like I’m wasting her life’s goal. It’s discouraging.

I feel you. I am very lucky that the lab portion of classes are still on campus so Damian will get some regularity on working instead of random trips to the grocery store or the drug store. I just hope that my school doesn't cancel labs.
You are allowed to be sad, this is your situation, your life and your loss. Hang in there, my Guide Renee and I are back to work every other week, and I can see a difference in her. The weeks we are home I do like you do with zenith, play, walk around the neighborhood, find ways to maximize their mental stimulation with puzzles, and teach new obedience and tricks. Never thought I would have my guy Doug para wet like a ballerina ha ha. Again, hang in there, we all support each other.
So sorry this happened for U K. I know how excited you were about going to school. I know what you mean about how it’s important to acknowledge that many people are dealing with tragedy like losing love ones, but it’s also important to be knowledge that the struggles and disappointments you’re facing are no less valid.
I understand how you feel. Zenith will be fine. Bored but ok. My dog is the same way. We moved back home and my guide is bored. I get if. I wish you luck in this adventure!
That’s definitely heartbreaking! My daughter doesn’t want to do college from our house either, so we’re getting her an apartment close to her campus (her school isn’t officially “closed”). Hang in there and try to keep things in perspective. Sending you hugs from Maryland!
