That was a great day out on the field that just keeps giving, defiantly a pastry jigger mate. Medieval harness ring with the file marks on. I use mine to display crotal bell on. Great as usual, stay lucky.
Great content as always 👍 I have stacks of those rings as well, generally from medieval sites. PAS have them down as ‘part of a harness fitting, strap fitting or other fitting such as a suspension chain’ their use is not fully understood, dates from Iron Age to medieval.

The item at 27.00 is the wheel from a Pastry Jigger and there should be a central hole.Some nice hammered and other finds.

Could be a pastry jigger, but could also be a tool used in leatherwork to add patterns to leather goods.
