Love this! Seeing this makes me smile ear to ear - your videos from recovery from ankle injury kept my husband hopeful that running would be in the cards after his ankle injury. Yesterday he did his first half (Carmel Indiana)…. his time has him dreaming to do Boston….one day…

I don't think I have ever known anyone running Boston for the first time that did not buy Boston Marathon memorabilia, especially the jacket.😆 The Adidas store at the Expo is nuts though, I get it. One friendly word of advice, which you no doubt have heard, but bears repeating, don't go out too fast at the start. Most first timers don't keep their pace under control in the downhill start because of excitement, etc., and that is why Heartbreak Hill has its name. Enjoy, you are in for a big treat and I'll see you two in London next week.
Make sure to bank time at the start while you're fresh and it's mainly downhill.

I don’t know how I missed this one! Hello from greater Boston. Marathon Monday and Patriots day weekend are great. I lived on Beacon not far from the finish for several years and every year it was such a positive experience and the crowd energy is great. Can’t wait for your Boston and London vlogs!

I ran the 100th Boston in 1993 -
as several in my club were going.
So glad i did.
Boston is very busy/crowded.
Wanted to break 3 but -
the hill at 17 broke me -
down to a 3:02.
However it was totally -
a fun experience.!

I love how Ben is making it sound hes just doing Boston to warm up for Valencia and have some fun, as a starting runner its quite intimidating to see these videos and doesnt really make it easier to even think about something like this.

Boston is always a great race. It was a really tough day for me not starting until 11 am. My A,B,C goals went out the window, but accomplished my D goal of finishing. Hope you had a good one. I actually love the course on a cooler day.

Not sure if it’s changed but I bought a charity place from the official Tokyo website , 100,000 yen (about £700) then entry around £230 from memory . Guaranteed entry . This was 2019 . Good luck in Boston , loved the city and marathon despite the hellish weather

All the best to you, Ben and all the other runners. I just ran Canberra Half in 1:46 but with a cold a caught the week before. I'd just seen your video on tapering and you said increase your Vitamin C 2-3 weeks out to prevent getting a cold. Unfortunately that advice was a week late. 🤧🙄

My advice....put on some sun cream if its sunny - 2 years ago the "badge of honour" was the one sided sun burn even though the temperature was low the sun was out 🤣

Do you ever get your feet taped before a race ??...I had mine done last race & it helped heaps ..food for thought perhaps in the future..??

They may have been wiped out during the 2013 Massachusetts incidents, but their legacies will live on.
Can someone explain why Boston is only 6 days ahead of London? Both major so close together seems like poor scheduling specially for people who want to run both marathons?

The whole point of Boston is the jacket..😂 a bit different from Tokyo 6 weeks ago which was a complete joke…tiny merch section and completely sold out in the first few hours with no restock for the next 2 days..super for anyone a xxl size
