After 12 years I decided to rewatch avatar. My fucking god the goosebumps during the action scenes, the series is still dope as fuck and my age didn't ruin it at all. Also it's kinda clear that the animating team got hella better at making the action scenes as the series progressed. For an example the scene this soundtrack was used in (the invasion of the earth king's palace) was so damn good. Then in the book of fire, episode 5 the scequence when the triple eyed dude encounters aang for the first time was spot on, loved how they used absolutely no music at all during the fighting. Was essentially climaxing the entire time. God I love this show, and always have since I was a kid. Fuck legend of Korra tho
It's an art technique. When you're head is lowered, your facial features need to be lowered in the drawing so it will look more realistic. It's a perspective thing.
This show is just so awesome. This scene with this music is one of the shows best. I want to find this piece of music on a loop and just keep playing it while I run on the tread or something. Such a great action scene and the music is just spot on. The end credits and fight scenes are great as well. Love it
Don't they mean "Into The Earth Palace"? They'd already been in the earth kingdom for some time when this song played. ( When they invaded the castle )
Pophits is right, you know. It's all a matter of the angle. His head is tilted forward, which combined with the perspective holding the view as above Aang, makes the extra space between the arrow and his brow not visible from that angle.
"Even his worst enemy, one who was hellbent on burning him to a cinder, was shown mercy." Which was possible the stupidest decision he ever made. Regardless of his ability to bend, he's still their leader - why would the entire fire nation suddenly surrender? They'd still fight, and free him.
That's the entire point of the final Agni Kai, it shows how Zuko rightfully becomes firelord. In the comics it's also shown that quite a number of people still favored Ozai.
It's still a fact that in the TV show he stopped Ozai and etc. etc. You make a valid point, though. He WAS the Avatar and you're absolutely right about him having to set aside his Airbender ways if it's for the good of all people. I lost sight of that for a bit, trying to justify the peaceful way. I still don't like how people so easily throw around death wishes on the net, though. Ozai was a tyrant. M. Night is just a bad director. They don't know the guy, so wishing him dead is stupid.
I'm guessing Zuko played a role in that. Aang's way was one of peace, not violence. The whole point about Aang not killing Ozai was to show that there is another way besides simply destroying whatever opposes you. If he did that, how would he be better than his enemy? Fact is that he stopped Ozai and the people of the Fire Nation stood behind Zuko as their new Firelord. Without Ozai dying.
The fire nation had warships, had tanks. Catapults that fire burning rocks Had Azula Had Ozai Now you tell me, would it be wise for 4 people to attack the fire nation?
I simply referred to the fact that it played out the way it did. I never said it was a realistic situation, just that it factually happened the way it happened. Like if I write a story about a boy who flew from Earth to the moon, I create the fact that the boy in my story flew to the moon. It's fictional, but still factual.
It's factual within the universe it was made in, but it isn't real, made by the writers. Because of that, you cannot say that "Fact is that he stopped Ozai and the people of the Fire Nation stood behind Zuko as their new Firelord. Without Ozai dying." because it isn't true. We simply can't know that. My point is, since there is no reason for it to happen apart from "plot no jutsu" it shouldn't.
Split into another comment because not enough space. About Ozai and not killing him. Yes, there is another way, but that doesn't mean it's the best way. Sometimes killing is the best way to resolve something. (I admit it's unlikely that it would happen in this show because it's a show for kids but meh, you get the point.)
Working now. I know it all worked out fine. I'm just saying it really wouldn't. The writers of Avatar messed up alot, a perfect example being the multiple plotholes per episode. By the way, "Fact is" won't work in the context of a fictional tv show. -And as an Avatar, he was stupid. There's no going around it, he's the Avatar, not an air monk. He's supposed to be of all nations, to think like all of them, not reject things that he doesn't like about them..
You're right. My only annoyance is with the series and bad decisions in it.. Well, I am also annoyed with the movie. It WAS awful :/ The problem with saying "fact is" when you're talking about the outcome of a tv show is because it all worked out how the writers said it would. That doesn't make sense as in that situation it's unlikely for that to happen. You can say fact is if it actually happened in real life, which would imply that it's possible.
People throw death wishes around too easily. Have you learned nothing from Aang? Even his worst enemy, one who was hellbent on burning him to a cinder, was shown mercy. Don't get me wrong, the movie was dreadful beyond measure and although I've liked M. Night's movie's before, he should quit the business for what he did to our beloved show. >:l
This song makes me feel like an enemy of the State.
Perfect music for storming Area 51.
Me too
High key when they invaded the palace that scene was dope asf.
Yeah gotta agree

It was the only time the gang actually let loose. I think it’s ironic
"I present to you the Earth Kingdom city of O ... oh no ..."
"And the Avatar, fell! And the Earth Kingdom, fell!"
This video was posted 12 yrs ago...
And we are still here! :-)
"Sorry! We just wanna go to the Earth King"
IT:sorry we just wana see the earth king .Idiot

Good damn this show is epic in every way
This was my favourite action scene in Avatar the Last Airbender, due to the amazing music which is stop on with the action.
Perfect music for storming Area 51.
LOL

This is just such a cool song. *repeats over and over*
Don't they mean "Into The Earth Palace"? They'd already been in the earth kingdom for some time when this song played. ( When they invaded the castle )

Yes! Thank you! This was the reason that the GAang infiltrating the Earth King's palace was so epic! This music...it's just so good...
God, I love when there are used strings(especially violins) in epic music
this is one of my favourite scenes in season two! Thanks for putting the music up :D
Invading the palace of Ba Sing Se
The opening of season 3 was set several weeks after the ending of season 2... It makes perfect sense.
Its too bad that with such an amazing soundtrack its so hard get let alone find. If only the track team would release the whole ost.
Pophits is right, you know. It's all a matter of the angle. His head is tilted forward, which combined with the perspective holding the view as above Aang, makes the extra space between the arrow and his brow not visible from that angle.
damn! I just can't stop listening and dancing to this man!

Perfect music for raiding a brutal base with bunch of Kirov Airship and Apocalypse tank...

Is this the music where Team Avatar breaks into Ba Sing Se's Royal Palace? AWESOME!
Or as I like to call it
Toph's Theme
"Even his worst enemy, one who was hellbent on burning him to a cinder, was shown mercy."
Which was possible the stupidest decision he ever made. Regardless of his ability to bend, he's still their leader - why would the entire fire nation suddenly surrender? They'd still fight, and free him.

To this day slaps hard
Epic! ^_^

Cool! :p

The Dance of The Dragon
I think it's "point of view", when his head is tilted down maybe. Either way, it looks awesome lol
Really awesome music! Where do you get all the music? I want it really bad!!
@BCSpore
My guess is because the firelord has compotent gaurds, and azula. azula rules.
Toph supremacy
this is not played in season 3, it is played in season 2
@ruesius WHAT??? OVER 9000??!!!!

angel lewis he grew it in a couple months
The wonders of timeskip.
@Danielgnik Just the angle.
I suppose. I yield, since I have no counter arguments. :p
I want to earthbend hearing this song............
@ruesius and now its over 44,274.

how did you get this? do you have the music from the episode "tales of ba sing se"? :D
I keep trying to write a proper reply, but whenever I do UA-cam tells me there's an error.
@ruesius haha! from another epic series lol.
Yeah.. Taiko..
Logic! :))))))))))))))
Is this copyright free?
Yeah.. o_O

must be the perspective cuz he's looking down slightly?
@Danielgnik Yea but it looks cooler to me.

Yeah, but even then the arrow is still too low.
It doesn't actually. Watch chapter 41.
You're right. My only annoyance is with the series and bad decisions in it..
