Welcome to a walk in Epta Piges, Seven Springs and let's explore the best places together. This is a very attractive touristic and, moreover, still green area, where you will see many interesting things. There is a restaurant and a parking lot for tourists in close proximity to the springs. Peacocks, ducks and turtles, eels, crabs, crayfish and several rare species of fish called "Gizani" live by the river and in the lake. Epta Piges, or Seven Springs, (Greek Επτά Πηγές), is a small wetland site in a wooded area near Archangelos. You can find seven springs in the east of the island of Rhodes, between the settlements of Kolymbia and Archipolis in the municipality of Afantou. Epta Piges Seven Springs, (Greek Επτά Πηγές) is located on a hill approximately 4 km east of the resort of Kolymbia, inland. The park got its name from the seven natural springs ("Seven Springs") that rise from the ground in the area and flow into one Loutanis river. Seven springs join together to form a small stream that irrigates the surrounding area. There is a lake on the stream with a dam, built by the Italians in the early 1930s, and a more than 165 m long tunnel through which water is led into the reservoir and can be walked through. A walk through the tunnel is a very attractive tourist attraction, because in the hot summer it is one of the ways to cool off in nature in addition to the sea. To admire the lake cascades, turn left after exiting the tunnel. A small waterfall is particularly beautiful, which can be admired both from the top of the dam, and you can also go down to its lower part. The lake offers the only possibility to swim in fresh water on the island. There are forests and greenery around, so you can find some shade here. From the Seven Springs of Rhodes, it is not far to other seaside tourist destinations such as Ialysos, Ixia, Lindos, Kallithea and Kolymbia.
