Factory s10 rear end The bed is raised with new factory tubs. You can see that in part 2 of this build. Tires are between 10&12 inches wide. I would have to remeasure that it’s been a while now.
If the wheelbase on my 59 Apache is 121”, & the s10 frame on FB Marketplace is 123” ish, would this work? Looking online it says factory wheelbase for 59 apache is actually 123”, although i measured from center wheel to center wheel. Please help a youngster out!
Yes it will work just fine. One way to increase or decrease wheel base is to move the rear axle rearward or forward on the leaf spring with offset spacers. Or drill an offset line up hole in the axle perch
What did you guys do so the driveshaft don't hit the cab? And did you cut the cab mounts to a shorter? Thank you I'm stuck in that part lol I was thinking of just lifting the cab a little so it clears driveshaft
In part 3 of this series addressed the driveshaft. We didn’t have a clearance issue but it was very close. I probably had my engine and trans mounted low enough
It’s just an aftermarket booster and master kid from speedway performance. Plumbed into the factory s10 proportioning valve. I would have to look up The part number
Cool swap...I just wished I'd seen more of the fabrication process.
Go to the 50 gmc to s10 swap
More details there
Most recent swap
What rear end are you using? Are you going to have to tub the bed? How wide are those rear tires?
