- A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launched the USSF-67 mission for the US Space Force on Jan. 15, 2023. The rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Full Story: www.space.com/spacex-falcon-h...
Several minutes after launch the side boosters touched down safely back at SpaceX's landing zones at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The core booster was not recovered to maximize fuel availability.

This has become such a regular and consistent event that it's easy to forget just how remarkable it really is. I'm mesmerized every time.
Its totally amazing. I say Virgin Galactic might as well stop wasting there money because SpaceX has this technology in the bag 😁😁
It really is!!!
😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
If you want to see REAL excitement, from their first Falcon Heavy landing, watch this: ua-cam.com/video/l5I8jaMsHYk/v-deo.html WARNING: it may make you cry.
@@fortnitedaddy7266 Virgin Galactic is such a joke, decades of hearing about their space flight and all they do is suborbital. Why don't people just ride the Soyuz
No matter how many times I watch Falcon heavy flights I am blown away every time
The engineering behind this is truly incredible
WHO'S the BOSS 🤣😂
landing the boosters back down is the biggest accomplishment. On exact spot.
@@pieterbezuidenhout2741 Loved that TV show
It's only a rocket science.
What's different about this rocket than Russian or Chinese? Is thus the largest payload rocket?
The boost back burn from ground is just awesome. Never gets old. Incredible job SpaceX
I love seeing the massive plume when they exit the atmosphere
Why a boost back burn is required?
@@oreosandwich1519 It's cheaper to recover the boosters at the launch pad than to recover it at sea. Without a boost back, they would have to land at sea.
@@boydrobertson2362 thank you
I'm 80 yrs old, and have watched just about all the entire space launches. from the early 1960's till now and these landings still blow my mind. the accuracy is phenomenal!. As an American I feel a sense of pride, even though I had nothing to do with this. just a big fan. and patriot. ECF
It's amazing to think how we went from watching the Apollo launches on the old televisions from the 60s to watching the Space X launches here on UA-cam. Technology has improved so much, it's almost mind blowing
I suppose that viewing it on a computer or your phone is an improvement over the old T.V.'s, BUT Space is fake and no one/nothing is traveling in a rocket to this non-existent place... Wake up.
Think where we will be in another 20 plus years
@@shellac23 , Same place we are now. On Earth, having never left, because space is fake...
@@Verbal_Sin no it's not
@@Verbal_Sin are you saying space doesn’t exist? I feel like I’m back in college listening to my philosophy major roommate.
It was a beautiful launch. I was near downtown Melbourne Florida when I saw the initial plume. The sky seemed totally cloudless. Was able to continue to watch with my naked eyes for many minutes as the rocket went through its stages. I have never been able to see the stage release nor boosters released through my naked eyes.
Just an incredible experience for me today.
I was in Key Largo and got a great view of it
I'm envious. I'd love to catch a launch in person sometime. I bet it's amazing.
I was in Melbourne, Australia, and didnt see shit
Lucky you!
You can imagine the pride of the engineers who designed and built this truly masterpiece ship.
"My precious"...
So many people told Musk that this wasn't possible.
78yr old American veteran. Thank you, SpaceX.
Ty for your service sir
Great animation 👌
Silly old Duffer
Guys that talk about it the most are those that did the least.

Ok
I really enjoy watching these videos. The space program is amazing. I worked Saturn 501 and Apollo 8 in the 60's. This stuff never gets old for me.🙂🙂
This must take on a truly different meaning to you. You understand how it was done with Yester years technology.
@@jsjba2000 The biggest change I see is the boosters returning under their own power. That kind of blows me away. That and the size of some of the rockets. They are approaching and exceeding the size of the Saturn V.🙂🙂
@@glencrandall7051 I am big fan of Space scientists and engineers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
OMG....as a child of the 70's, thank you so much for helping us get here.
Thank you for your work!
This launch was the best till date. The view was insane! And the live broadcast of the camera view from the boosters were a cherry on the top
We could see the launch from Davie, FL. Perfectly cloudless day. We even could see the entry burns of the two side boosters. Just incredible.
Project Bluebeam can make you see a lot of things, even people walking on water.. it's likely what will be bringing you the aliens & Jesus as well, with everybody saying end times is here n all 🤷♂
We saw them from the Augusta Ga area
I've watched every Mercury, Gemini and Apollo mission launches and landing those boosters standing up is truly amazing.
We've come a long way baby!
Cool fairytale bro
Simply amazing, no matter how many times I watch a rocket launch I can't look away. Maybe it's the explorer DNA we have and wonder what it would be like to ride that to space. But recovering the side boosters is even as impressive. Go SpaceX.
So cool! I just hated how they cut to the single booster landing at touchdown and we could not see the WIDE shot of BOTH touching down! That is the coolest when we can see that and hopefully they will release that video this week!
Yes agreed! Disappointed.
@@ecurb10 It is on here and Twitter now. Found it.
VideoFromSpace has it.
The rate of acceleration still blows my mind everytime I watch a launch. Incredible that astronauts are able survive such forces (yes I know this one was unmanned)
Yeah...once the big girl finally gets a rollin...absolute pig until hits 4 digits...muh dang ole charger done do that betta..

Those rockets coming down to land is possibly the most visually stunning engineering feat of the 21st century.
Straight outta cheesy (now) 1950's sci-fi Saturday afternoon shows...way cool.
NEVER gets old!
Indeed. Never gets old. How lucky we are to witness such an event.
amazed by engineer space-x, doing the rocket launch job to perfection
This never gets old. Amazing shots. Makes my day every time
Damn, 164 landings. I'm living in the future.
i would have to say the technology used to capture these moments, also the underdog. wow, such sight/sound. never gets old, and i hope it never will.
Every single launch still amazes me..
Gotta love those dual booster landings!
The last few hundred meters your like its going to crash its going to crash then bam there landed 😂😂
Expendable main booster. Falcon Heavy. Someone wanted that thing WAY up in high orbit. Thing must have had some weight to it as well. Nice launch.
@@SpaceX-SFS No, Not for that orbit, If recovery is possible they always try.
@@SpaceX-SFS not for this launch, for others yes but this used all of the fuel, or close enough where a landing was not possible.
As a former NASA employee, I am staggered by the design and precision of these spacecraft. Well done, SpaceX launch team!
Still makes me cry when I see this. What a magnificent and breathtaking step for us.
Glad to see metric units in SpaceX videos.
Just amazing can't wait for the next launch
The most amazing thing about this is the boosters coming back and landing I'm in amazed everytime I watched it. How far we have come since 1968.
Congrats SpaceX! You folks have done some incredible work! You deserve the accolades!
It used to be that the only time you saw rockets landing vertically was in James Bond movie or science fiction movies. SpaceX has made it not only real but routine. Bravo to free thinking out of the box and taking the risk to try it. The launch game has entered a new era leaving old style, expensive, launching in the dust.
Perfect machine. Perfect work in the world. Perfect team in the world. Perfect mission. Thank you very much my friend.
Still, the whole thing is just amazing! I am 58, and the space launches never get old.
I hope when i reach your age theres still something as magical as this event is for humanity for me to witness
I recorded this launch too was amazing the boost back was awesome top 5 best launches I've seen live thanks SPACEX
I don't think watching them land will ever not give me goosbumps. Incredible spectacle.
Utterly awesome!
Would have loved to see them BOTH land. Should have had the 2 shot (like at 8:43) so we could see them both. I know the launch and payload deploy are critical but, seeing them land those boosters is just something spectacular!!
Think it was an accident they didn't show it? Seemed pretty coordinated.
THANK YOU. Tells me there's at least one other person out there with good taste. I can't believe they didnt include that and that there aren't more complaints??
Am so happy to b alive to actually witness the great tings SpaceX has achieve in such a short time 👏
Incredible booster landing. So smooth...I love space exploration!
God only knows what the hell kind of weapons they’re putting into space - 85% of these launches are likely military related
Yep, I reckon the military would be their biggest customer.
WOW, just WOW. Watching this rocket at full power is AMAZING. Many years ago, I was lucky enough as a kid to see a space shuttle launch. It's staggering to imagine just how powerful these rockets truly are.
In fact SpaceX make landing these rockets look very easy! But that's far from the truth!
That's why they are the only company doing it!
Great 👌 job 👍 SpaceX team!!!
I love this! I can never get enough of launches and landings. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the launch 07/27/2023
Those landings are so beautiful. :)
I'm guessing that's the second RFG bundle going up.
Super heavy can lift 140000 lbs or
63500 kg divide that by 36=
10000 kg per pole
Tungsten density is 19.3e6 kg/m^3
If they use 0.5 m^3 per rod
Sqrt(0.5/3pi)=0.23 m radius
0.5/(.15^2×pi)=7 m long
Tungsten is 19250 kg / m^3
0.5 m^3 is 9624 kg. Yep. It would fit.
It never gets old watching these boosters coming back to earth and landing. Truly impressive feat of engineering 👍👍👍👍 Elon and team are a welcome addition to this earths madness in the last 10 years 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
And now OUR government is doing everything possible to destroy Elon. They are not about to sit back and let Twitter release all the dirty deeds our government have been involved in. Paybacks are going to be hell for Elon thanks to this corrupt government.
That’s first view I saw with the side boosters coming down from separation, just so cool!!
When I compare this video to the Apollo missions, I'm amazed by the quality we have today. It's nice to see a private company being successful at launch, payload insertion, and recovery also. Well done SpaceX!

Congratulations to the scientists, engineers, production, and quality teams. As another commenter said, what we are seeing today feels normal and common now. But the complexity of doing this is unreal and nearly perfect each time. It is truly a fantastic site, it's jaw-dropping awesome!
Outstanding . Thanks.
Such clear telemetry! Great launch and vid!
Boost back burn is just so amazing to watch!
Amazing! keep having successful flights and landings..
Those booster landings never cease to amaze.

Those boosters coming back and landing blow my mind!
Thrilling! Hats off to the awesome engineering & science that goes into accomplishing that.
Absolutely amazing! Well done to all.
I am amazed every time I watch one of these events! These people are geniuses!
Outstanding !!!!!! Way to make it look easy. Great narration & images.
Damn, the Artemis and the Falcon Heavy are the 2 most powerful rockets in production, and we launched both within 3 months. The US is savage!
It looks effortless now. They’ve done such a stellar job at perfecting this rocket system and I can only imagine how much money these new Falcon Heavies save just by being landed, scrubbed, and refueled for consecutive flights.
OMG! Not even rocking anymore on landing. So precise!!!
This Shiznit is Amazing,, this dude has the booster's landing and ready for re-use ,
The showmanship of Space X is just next level. Thank you so much for taking it to the next level. Can't wait to see the what's after these chemical power rockets. Let's go!!!
Perfect flight !
Glorious!
Many thanx to all...... Glorious! 👍👍
I want to repeat the sentiment by @Raydio6 about always being blown away by these flights. But, I want to add, the landing of these side boosters, with the precision, accuracy and delicate grace, is surreal. Both of my uncles retired from NASA with the Apollo program and one is still alive today. They don't have the words to describe how it feels, or what it's like to comprehend these landings...
I do have to say that this is pretty incredible every time I see it. It will so amazing to see where were will be technology wise in 40/50 years...
I saw the boosters as they punched holes in the clouds from the middle of Florida between Polk and Oceola (on the road that splits them), though it was military flares or something, happened almost on the dot at 6pm EST
Best launch to watch live to date. Totally awesome!
Wow! I am 100% completely blown away seeing this. This amazingly crazy.
Watching the sideboosters separate and synchronize back down to earth is awesome to behold.
Incredible.
I’m still amazed by there landing every time. One day I’ll make it out to see it in person
Totally amazing !
I got to see this launch from the coast of NC and it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen!!
That is just crazy,....amazing

I was walking my dog looking north all the way down in Broward county, and I had a really clear view of this launch. It was just after sunset and there were no clouds. The boosters returning to earth under power blows me away every time.
