Catholic dogma states that Mary was free of original sin, thus the conception of Jesus was immaculate, which we equate to Mary being the PUREST = PURÍSIMA (Get it? 😉) ABSOLUTELY LOVED the story of your encounter with a Pinolero... I can't even imagine how surprised/excited he must've been to meet an Aussie whose lived in #Nicaragua and who speaks Nica Spanish-- those magic words: "Vos sos Nica???" Yeah, no! 🤣 I'm not that international of a citizen 😂🤣 I only have TWO lineages, Italian-American on my father's side, and PORTUGUESE on my mom's. Unlike most Nicaraguans, I have ZERO Spanish ancestry and unlike many Americans, I have ZERO anglo-saxon blood ✌🏻😎

It's unbelievable that just a year ago those same streets were completely empty because of the pandemic, and now they look so alive!!! Can you understand their Spanish?
Yes, we thought the same. It was a bit of a shock to see so many people around, especially in the main plaza of Sol. Haha, funny you mention that about the spanish. We are finding it harder to understand than Nicaraguan spanish, they talk so fast! And it is 'vale' not 'dale' here. I was losing a bit of confidence with my spanish, and then I just happened to sit next to a Nicaraguan man on a train and then had a great conversation after he noticed I was editing a video about Nicaragua! So yes, it is different and takes some getting used to!
