Very clever idea and saving a lot of time scribing and notching the timbers. Very well explained - and in a storm of black flies! Will be watching progress with great interest.
Love watching the evolution of your videos, as this is one of the few channels I watch, as they come out, in order. Beautiful day, minus the bugs. Also the teaching was clear and concise.
Would love to see some of the views of Nepal and base camp. Have seen the pics from your associates, and they looked amazing!
I agree that you seriously roughed out the black flies!
Howdy Brother- good job explaining how to use the jig. Fred is a great guy and does some really nice work. Hope all is well. Take care and God bless
Great video. I really like the intro clips. You definitely should make a video of your Nepal trip!
Very informative. The black flies are the real stars here. You’re a true stoic northwoodsman!
Very cool and good explanation. Would love to see more on your expeditions too!
Watching a video of your medic experiences would be interesting
Great video and great job with explanation ! Had a couple questions but figured them out. Measure for inside but cut from outside. What you’re cutting is always in front of the saw not beside the bar. But. Think both could be swapped depending on preference and where the guides were mounted on the bar. Was happy to see you went to Nepal on IG and looks like another great time for you ! As always I enjoy watching and seeing whatever you’re doing ! You must’ve filmed that video last week. That black fly hatching was hellacious for 3 days here lol. Take care Jonathan
I would love to see your "expeditions"
It would be interesting to see video of your trip
Excited to see you getting started on your new cabin! I'll be following your progress throughout the build. Have a great week 😊,
JB. 👍😉😁
HI Jonathan, Looking forward to following along on your build this Summer!
Thanks! The winch I bought from you is set up now and will be a big part of the upcoming work. Looks great on the old Kubota too.
@@PenniacWilderness Just a thought about your dovetail jig process, if all your logs are the same size why don't you add some blocks inside the jig to set the depth it goes on over the log as well as some blocks to center it on the logs. That would speed up the process 👍
@ 24:01 you haven't mentioned that the 1/4 plywood pads have to be calibrated top and bottom of the chain bar to stop the cut at the proper distance from the jig
Yes good point, that's true and thanks for pointing it out
Forgot to mention that the Napal video would be a good idea
👍great video
Thanks for the detail.
So the interior dimension of the cabin gets increased by half an inch (0.25” + 0.25”) ?
What are the plans for your current cabin? Selling it?
What are you doing with an Irish plate number on your truck???? :):):)
I worked in Ireland for some years and got this as a gift there. Are you from Ireland?
@@PenniacWilderness Ah nice one, yeah I live in Wicklow town, 40km south of Dublin, you may have been there. Small world.
Great stuff as always!!!
