  • Relaxing no-talking video suitable for all languages and countries!
First outing of 2024 in my 2008 'no-build' Citroen Belingo camper. Once again at the Fforest Fields campsite in mid Wales.
Hovering around zero degrees C down in the campsite, but well below freezing on the top of the hills (probably with the wind chill factor, somewhere around -12c).
Despite the conditions, a relaxed camp with some pretty decent food.

Legend has it that the day he speaks the world as we know it will cease to exist and be replaced by something even more inconceivable, some say this is what will happen some say it already has…

I'm in two minds whether to do a Vlog now! Maybe the new world will be a better place - only time will tell the wiser...

Great video but a stove so close to the van roof is a bad idea, the condensation issues will get a hold fast, you need to drop the stove level.

I don't like it that high either - it'll be lower next time. Cheers.

Nice to mix it up a bit, but the rum inspired Vlogs will be back soon! All the best for '24! Cheers.

I do miss having a pet since our cat passed away a few years back - she was nearly 20 though. I was actually daydreaming that she was in the van with me the other day - all curled up and cosy by the heater!

You can pack it away better that I could. That beef and chicken just falls off the bone, looked very nice. But what are you doing sleeping in a van in this weather? Stay safe Gary. Looked nice where you were, nothing like up on the hills, especially when you have the hill to yourself or just a mate. I did this twice, for a week each time, but in the winter! No thanks, but do what you enjoy Gary, we are only here once!

Hi Bob - that little slow cooker is just great. Chuck a few ingredients in, turn it on and come back from the hills to some hearty grub! In that area, I've seen no people on the top of those hills in the last three trips up there - lovely! All the best!

Happy New Year Gary, thanks for another superb video from you sir! You make it look so easy. After your last video I went out and bought a couple of heated throws for my no-build Sprinter Traveliner to use where there's a hookup. They are superb by the way. Went for slightly dearer ones with intelliheat control.....toasty! Do you have any views on the Gorilla gazebos?
    Stay safe,
    Sky. 🇮🇲

Glad you like the video Sky and HNY to you too! Throw is just great and using it in the house too (with electric underblanket too, so like a toasted sandwich here!). That gazebo of mine was bought years ago and was the cheapest of that type on eBay at the time - I'm sort of hoping that it'll break so I can get something new, but it just keeps going, so no experience of other gazebos. I looked up the Gorilla and it does look tough - one thing I wish I had done with mine is order the side panels for extra privacy though. Cheers.
