I really enjoyed this movie. One of Eddie’s best comedies in a while.
This movie and Dolemite is Eddie Murphy’s best movies since his recent comeback.
Oh u didn’t see dynamite
@@user-hm6od4gt3s Oh damn I forgot that one, that was a good movie.
@@user-hm6od4gt3s Dolemite??
Dolemite was better
I still like My Name Is Dolemite more. But it as gr8 2 see Eddie back bein Eddie.
Sooo much better than Coming to America 2.
Now that’s true. WAAAYYYY better.
I'm still trying to figure out why CtA2 was horrible and Axel F was great.
@@MissylovesTrouble Maybe because theu decided to tone it down too much instead of keeping it R Rated 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Waaaay
That's a low bar tho
I like the scene with the helicopter! That's when I really felt the chemistry between Eddie Murphy and Joseph Levitt Gordon
I give big time credit to Joseph for holding his own. I know he was a trained child actor and worked with the brilliant John Lithgow. But to see Joseph as an adult and hold his own with Eddie. I was impressed. Yes, that helicopter scene was my favorite. I laughed way too hard when Eddie smacked him.
It was a surprisingly funny scene😂
From the second they topped the stairs to the helicopter scene, I WAS TICKLED! Awesome 🎥.
Storyline was predictable...but eddie was great and bringing back Bronson and original casts gave me nostalgia
All movies are predictable after you’ve seen enough of them
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Eddie Murphy was his usual comedic self. Eddie and Joseph had good chemistry. It was about the nostalgia but it was a good time
It's a good vibe film. Nostalgic
Agreed! This should've been released in theaters. This was definitely a movie to watch in theaters!
I wish the late Great Gil Hill were still alive. Even though they killed off his character those ass chewing scenes with Inspector Todd were legendary 😅 Shout out to the homie Keysha E with the cameo scene.
They paid homage to him in a scene. There’s a scene at the station where you can see his photo (centered in the scene).
I liked the film . You are right the movie should have been released in the theaters. Beverly Hills Cop Axel F is a good film for nostalgia!
In my defense Tone, I was born in '89 so I was still a kid when this movie hit the Beverly Hills streets. seeing one of my favorite movie stars fighting and doing his usual goofy ish at an amusement park was a delight for me 😂😂
Same.
SAME!😂😂😂
Yessir, I was 7 when BHC3 dropped - LOVED IT! Still do.
lol same
Same 😅
I loved Beverly Hills Cop Axel F
I enjoyed the movie. I was cracking up throughout the movie. I'm going to watch it again.
😂😂😂 David Fincher “Turn the sun off!” 💯
I died laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 hilarious
“Turn the sun off.” -David Fincher
😂🤦♂️💀😆
I love BHC 3! It’s my favorite…wonder world n foley Fox!
I really liked Eddie in this film. He did an amazing job channelling Axel Foley's (old Eddie) character. Sounds easy, but it's definitely. Old Eddie's mannerisms have changed, so he did well to bring it back imo.
That was what I couldn’t put my finger on. I think his Klumps characters in The Nutty Professor became so big, that it’s hard to see him as Eddie from his Raw, first 2 BH Cop days. But yeah he did manage to be more low key, but still “loud” when he needed to without giving “Sherman Sherman Sherman” 😂 I don’t know if that makes sense! 🤷🏽♀️😂
"Don't come in here with no Beverly Hills Cop III appreciation..." 😂😂😂
The deal is Eddie Murphy is hypnotic. He's so good at doing what he does, I can forgive and accept virtually anything happening in the plot. I don't write the rules
Brilliantly said!
AGREED. some personalities are just really attractive and magnetic ,and Eddie is that
The okee dokee shuffle was great..
Tell Nadine I said Hi!
… turn the sun off…” 😂😂😂😂
It’s still 1, 2. 4 then 3. There were plenty of callbacks (but sometimes they may as well have broken the 4th wall the way they were setting them up.)
“I really missed you, Taggart”
“Ohh..that Axel Foley! He grinds my gears just like last time!!”
I did like the reference to BHC3 when JGL’s character remarks, “Not your best effort.”
I just needed someone to say, “We’re not gonna fall for the banana in the tailpipe!!”
Shoutout to the picture of Inspector Todd (Gil Hill) still on the wall in the police office in Detroit.
Shoutout to SEVERAL music cues that were the same as in the original.
I also felt like the stunts were “cool” but
A) You can tell they had to take it easy on 60+ year old Murphy - and they didn’t want to use doubles and B) Perhaps the Fast & Furious over the top stunts have ruined us a little.
Yeah - I’d give the movie like a 7.5/10. A nice Saturday night at home.
I love Beverly Hills Cop 3 😅
Same.
Especially if you from the Bay Area. And went to great America. I remember them filing this when I was a teen. They meesed up our season pass days and closed early for months that season.
I don’t understand y people don’t like it. I loved it
"ELLIS DEWAALLLTTT!!!"😂
Facts fuckin fire lol and it was rare who woulda thought All that was going on at a Amusement Park then the scenes was fire too him on the Farris wheel saving ppl 🔥
Love that they kept all the old tunes 🎶
Agree with the review. I was satisfied watching this that it paid enough homage to the original while adding to the plot with the daughter.
I agree with you on this one, Tone. Beverly Hills Cop 3 was trash. It did have a few good action scenes though but the story was straight vomit. My favorite movie in the series was Beverly Hills Cop 2. It was a slight improvement over the first movie. A;though I loved Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 a lot. It had just a little more grit and the action scenes has me on the edge of my seat just little bit more than the first movie. In my opinion, Beverly Hills Cop 3 virtually killed the franchise. I have yet to see the latest one. If you say it is better than Beverly Hills Cop 3 then my faith has been restored. Great content. Peace.
Unpopular opinion, Beverly Hills Cop 3 is my favorite 😊
(Slowly raises hand in agreement)
☝🏾
Almost saw Tony's knees - i was excited!
Tony Wild BHC3 was hilarious
That's what I said!
I would have given Axel F 4 🎷 🎷🎷 🎷 it was really cute and I appreciated the firearms skills of the boyfriend, it was underrated. It was a happy nostalgia seeing the old characters come back and how different technology played a role.
Thanks for the review Tony! I could appreciate the nostalgia and I really enjoyed it! 🎥 🍿
I agree with you. It wasn't better than 1 or 2, but it was fun and nostalgic. It was great to see the old gang back together. Although Eddie looks so good that he makes everybody else look twice as old as they are in comparison. And Jonathan Gordon-Levitt was a great addition!
Keysha E was in the movie too! I was happy to see her. It was a surprise. Lol
❤ this review!! How can so many ppl claim to give BHC III so much merit when Murphy HIMSELF didn't even like it?!! As a matter of fact, Joseph Gordon-Levitt spoofs it in the scene when he's reading Axel's file to him 😂🔥
So what he didn’t like it. It had its flaws, but was better than this 4th movie. Yea I said it. This movie was just as bad, maybe less funny also. Just cause they spent more on the action doesn’t make it better. 1&2 are superior in comparison
@@WawaMarvelyou WILD!
@@WawaMarvel Yeah no it was not worse then BHC 3.
Idc if Eddie didn't like it.... I'm the consumer and I loved it! Unpopular opinion, I don't like the second one!
@WawaMarvel you definitely trolling
I like BHC3, maybe because I was about 9 years old when it came out.
I appreciate your reviews because a lot of our peoples look at us sideways when we have seen non black movies. Stay blessed bro. Hope you come back to Indianapolis for comedy
It was OK. Not mad at it, but not loving it thoroughly
Great movie review and I enjoyed it and I'm going to check it out and have a blessed day
Review is spot on!!! Watched it on the 4th and enjoyed it. It's definitely worth watching for fans of the franchise. You must be right about Bev Cop 3; I barely remember it. 😂
I enjoyed BHC3
I enjoyed the nostalgia of Axel F. The scene with Serge was my fav. Overall the plot was clunky, Kevin Bacon’s character wasn’t a convincing villain, and story execution was off. But it was fun to see the main characters back together and some of the action scenes were decent.
It was a good time. The meter maid bit had me laughing so hard it gave me headache 😂 I don’t know if anyone hit you with this bit of movie trivia but BHC III was originally a complete different movie pitched as “Die Hard in a theme park but the script was later rewritten to shoehorn Axel and the other characters into the story hence…💩
I don’t remember BHC3, but the premise itself wasn’t bad. Really any setting can work with a good enough storyline and script.
Ayoo Tony please do more movie reviews my boi!!! 😂
I have to watch #3 again. I fell asleep during that movie . TWICE ! 😂😂
I've been waiting for this review
Beverly Hill Cop 3 actually is my favourite, but I think it’s cos I saw it before 1 & 2 lol
Hey man, you’re my favorite comic bruh. We think alike.🤣💪🏾✊🏾
David Fincher “Turn the Sun off” 🤦♂️☠️😂
I had the third one on VHS too lol I was 5 and I still loved it😂
I loved BHC 3 😬
Same!
Same here! I liked the dynamic of the amusement park location and it was still funny but had its serious moments.
I definitely need to add 1 and 2 to my watchlist, because growing up, the only one I've ever seen was 3. Trying to rewatch more classic movies as an adult vs when I was a kid and didn't understand it fully.
Lowkey I've always wanted to go to California's Great Adventure just because Cop III was filmed there.
Man it’s been 3 decades and this is what they come up with? Keep these coming. In order: 2, 1, 4, 3… and share the bananas
3 better than 4. They put more money into 4 than 3, but 3 still better than this garbage.
Part 3 was 10x better than Axel F. It was just okay, I won’t be rewatching lol. Wack storyline, bad acting, unnecessary cursing.
@@r0mediddyGo sit down
@@johnlflack5188 🤷🏽♂️ I’m standing on it. What say you
@@johnlflack5188Man..facts! 3 is better than Axel F. Was much funnier and the action wasn’t to bad
I really liked it. Lots of nostalgia. ❤
I liked it, will probably watch it again this weekend. And yeah, Murphy and Levitt had great chemistry. Loved the jab at Beverly Hills Cops 3, “94 wasn’t your best year “
Yes Tony, 3 was my favorite one. I can rewatch that over and over and the quotables are endless. The use of the park was also very creative for the time. I rewatched the first one last year and it was fun but not a lot of quotable moments plus it was low stakes. The second had more cameos and memorable moments but it was an ashy looking movie even for the 80s. I could be biased since I saw 3 first, being born in 87, but I’ve watched them all and 3 still holds up the best.
But Dolomite's the Name is elite level storytelling in my mind THAT is what I keep comparing Axel F to. In Terms of the BHC franchise it doesn't beat II but it is WAY better than III.
Beverly Hills Cop III was good but it will never top I and II.
3 was amazing
I watched it twice its a great popcorn flick
Purple Onion Tony B. LMAO 😂
Beverly Hills Cop 3 is a classic. Come on, Tony... !
I like Eddie Murphy's movies this was a good movie and fits well with the franchise!!!
Alex Foley is basically Bugs Bunny with a badge 😂
BH3 was the 🐐! Nah mean? The roller coaster sequence! Chefs Kiss 👩🍳 💋
I needed Tony when me and the wife went to see Kinds of kindness yesterday. Two and a half hours of weirdness.
The third one was expensive! I was like you this one was so much better and it wasn’t corny while still fitting in with the times
🤣wish I could grade this movie an "Axel F"
This was a pretty good nostalgic film. I give it a solid 3.5 stars..
That damn thumbnail face 🤣🤣
BHC3 was good to me 🤷🏾♂️ I wish I could watch it now, as a matter of fact. That's the move
Tony, you are hilarious. I haven't seen the first 3 movies but I loved Axel F. I've enjoyed Eddie's recent movies except Coming 2 America (Amazon version).
Nostalgic , great action I only wish it was 20yrs ago
I loved BHC3 probably cause I was a kid 😂😂and that gun Serge made. Haven’t watched it for a long time. Home alone 3 always sucked. BHC1 was tied with 2 imo. Like the 48 movie and another 48 with Eddie. Buddy cop type series u know, lethal weapon, tango and cash.
Great review as always, Turn the sun off 🤣🤣
I think this is why I enjoyed it so much too, because I was a child and that’s really the first one I remember.
I loved the Serge scene and when he saved the kids off the 🎡
😂😂😂 good review
I enjoyed it, hopefully another come out
Beverly Hills Cop 3 is a cinematic masterpiece, the writing was genius, the action sequences exuberating and the comedy and dialogue will stand the test of time. Hurry for 1994!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Beverly Hills Cop 3 was good 😁. Don't know why they trying to turn Eddie into a deadbeat Daddy; they did that in Coming to America II, and now they're doing it here. What's weird is it's off character 'cause Axel never gave us the vibe that he'd do his family like that
The last action sequence that had me on the edge was Nick Fury in the truck in Captain America: Winter Soldier
Tony da man! Does more quick break downs than my dad's 81 Pinto! Movie was good except the idea that the cartel couldn't get Rosewood to talk. When they pull out the Torture Toolbox you'll start talking in 6 different languages 😮
It wasn't bad. I liked it. It's like Tony said it's the 3rd best movie of the series. I appreciate them trying to bring back the charm from BHC 1 & 2.
The thumbnail 😂
I literally just finished watching it was two thumbs up
I LOVE IT...And kevin and Joseph stole the show if you ask me😊
It was really good . I enjoyed the life progression of Axel F . I can see another one commin soon . 2 👍🏾👍🏾 up
I love it, I watched in three times. I like all but #3.
I really enjoyed it!
"Don't cone in here with that Home Alone 3 bullshit!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Mannnnn Part 3 was legit 😂
I enjoyed the movie. I always worry about the aging legends and them performing at their previous levels but I'm glad to see Eddie Be Eddie
Tony Scott is director Ridley Scott's brother.
@@SnarkierThan-U-R yep
"Don't judge me..." 🤣🤣🤣
Anyway, I loved part III. It was a different vibe. I think it being PG-13 was the only thing that made it less than what it is. Besides, it was a follow up to the chef's kiss that was part II...big shoes to fill.
I loved this movie. My expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't laughed at a comedy like that in awhile. It's a definite rewatchable movie ❤😊
Beverly Hills Cop 2 is definitely my favorite out of all the movies but I think Axel F will be second favorite. You can't beat that 80s vibe, visuals, and tone. I think 2 had the highest stakes and plus Axel literally stole a house lmao. That jewelry heist scene at the beginning is so good and so 80s I still think about it. I love these movies even 3 lol but I understand the hate it gets lol but I enjoy theme park movies.
Thoroughly enjoyed this film!!!!
Loved it.....
🍞🍞🍞🍞♥️♥️♥️♥️
Watched it with Tony and the Patron Saints! 😉
I love your hate of 3 Tone 😂🤣
I loved it too definitely agree with you I would’ve went to the movie theaters for this too. Netflix did a good job though.
