Actually you can now walk into Toads Cafe without reservation, I did it a month ago. The scan signs still up, but you now don't really need a reservation
I ate at jurassic Cafe for breakfast about 3 weeks ago was one of the worst food I have ever eaten. I ate at the orlando one 2 years ago and loved it but the one in hollywood was awfully but might hust be there breakfast. My nephew liked there berry waffle but I'm allergic to wheat so couldn't get that but wish I woof went somewhere else or waited for lunch
Hi I love your videos but can I ask you a question. Can I buy food passes at the universal studios Hollywood website or do I need to get them at the park because I did not see an option for food passes on the website
That’s a good question. The dining pass isn’t something they usually have. It was something for the 60th anniversary of the Studio Tour. But I’m not sure it’s even still running. You’d have to see if it’s available when you go.
Thanks for all the great content. We are planning a Disneyland trip and will be going to Universal Hollywood 1 day. I would love to see a rope drop strategy after utilizing the early entry to Super Nintendo World. 😊

Love your channel, Traver! Taking my two boys to Universal and Disneyland on Friday and your videos have been my #1 go-to for planning!! ❤🎉 Perfect timing on this video too as I was planning our snack path 😂. Your Disney World series was a super fun watch too!
@@kurtrichardson-wv8yk Universal is good fun for Harry Potter, Mario, Jurassic Park, and Simpsons fans. There are other fandoms there too, but those are the big ones. And the Studio Tour is an hour long and phenomenal in its own right for all movie buffs.
Last summer when we went to Universal it was a lot of fun but every food item I tried to get was sold out. I had written down some items like the chocolate chip spiral croissant and despite going early to get it (both days) they didn’t have it. I feel like they need to be better prepared for crowds, even several types of soda were sold out so the freestyle machines only had less popular types of soda. But can’t say universal wasn’t fun, but I feel like Disney is more careful with these things. Just my opinion though.
@@MBFF-if7yu I thought it very weird that multiple places throughout the park were “sold out” of certain things that are available around the corner. Like the cotton candy being sold out at the Minion booth thing, but the Cafe sold it. Like, can you not share supply so both locations have it in stock? Is it so hard?
@@KevinGPalencia For real. You can buy 3 whole pieces for that price. $30-$35, while still expensive, is far more reasonable but still theme park pricing. $50-$60 is robbery.
@@SoCalDisneyDad Agreed with the robbery statement! Like i said i think best thing to do is just eat outside of the park instead of going into the park starving.
This will help me out a lot because I am going to Universal in two days because of my sister’s birthday and this will help us out a locks. Most times we only go to one place to eat and that’s my dad‘s backpack and he only has snacks he never has really good food so this will help us out a lot and then if we don’t eat out of my dad‘s bag, then we’re eating candy from the Harry Potter world that and that candy shop, but this will help us out a lot. Thank you so much.
Hey there! Quick question: can I use my Freestyle cup I got at Universal Orlando? Or does Universal Studios Hollywood sell their own? Also, Happy birthday, James! 🎉
@@SoCalDisneyDad 😓 Thanks for replying! Now back to watching your video. We’ll be there this summer for the first time and your videos are helping a lot. They’re great!
@@SoCalDisneyDad You do mention the price of the Freestyle cups in the video LOL. Hadn’t gotten to that part yet. Too bad I can’t use the one I have, but the studio tour anniversary cup looks nice! Might get that one. Thanks again.
A major problem with Universal Studios is the lack of breakfast items in the park. Truth be told they should have a buffet restaurant that can serve breakfast early in the morning till lunch time. Disneyland has the Plaza Inn Restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. It’s only right that Universal Studios has their own breakfast buffet. Even if it’s the only restaurant that serves it, at least people would have a central place to go to and eat up before getting started with their day. I just think it’s important to have that in a theme park especially a big one like Universal Studios.
No it isn’t. Some people don’t want to do that. You might think it’s stupid and that’s fine, but I’m willing to bet that tons people would love to enjoy a park buffet just to experience it the best way they can. And they don’t mind spending the money as long as they plan for it. It doesn’t have to be every single visit, but it doesn’t hurt to have one there.
@@kaibricturner8836 Disney is a MUCH bigger park. The only reason why people go to get breakfast at the Plaza Inn is for the character meet ups. Nobody gives af about getting some basic eggs and bacon at a theme park especially one that doesn't stay open until 10am most days and on the weekends they open at 8am but close at about 6pm which is super early. If it was THAT big of a money maker I'm sure they would have done it already
Seems like on my last few trips the last few years, the Hollywood place has been a seasonal place. They’ve had chucky food during HHN and now what they’re offering is for their 60th celebration. Seems easy promo since it’s a heavily trafficked area. I really like the French cafe for breakfast food!!
Their food looks pretty decent. Butter Beer is going to be my # 1 goal. Whenever I go. It will probably be Orlando first. Happy Birthday to the one only James. Have an awesome day. 🎉🎈🍰
@@frankt5833 Snacks are fine. Drinks, the standard stuff is fine, like your own water bottle or even a disposable water bottle. But I doubt they allow alcohol, etc.
I have the season pass to universal, so all the times ive eaten there has been mostly at the three broomsticks or something quick in the simpsons area. Now after visiting disneyland for the first time in years, i realized how diverse and good their food is. I ate at the blue bayou and that was great. Comparing universal to disney, there's no competition - universal's food is severely lacking. How many places do you really need to offer a burger. This makes me rethink my pass, but i enjoy harry potter so much that i guess that's enough for the time being.
