- A Stealth-based Action/Adventure game with a direct sequel to the original 1981 Wolfenstein game. This storyline pickups up where the first Wolfenstein game left off taking place during World War II. After you escape from the Nazi Castle, your next mission is now to infitrate the Nazi's by using yourself as a bait and decoy by impersonating Nazi Soldiers and Gaurds. You must use a pass system or offer to bribe to the guards to get through. Showing the correct pass varies each start of the levels. Failure to provide correct pass system or guard fails to accept your bribe due to lack of money will result in killing the player or acitivate the wide-bunker alarm system. The bodies of the guard can be dragged through the room to conceal them or to get access to objects. The highly explosive grenades are now replaced with daggers so you can kill the Nazi gaurds silently. You must locate the bomb in the bunker closets. Unlocking the bunker closets require a 3 digit combination. Just press the numbered keys. When your hear a click then it's correct number. Keep doing until you have the correct 3-digit and will unlock. Once you get the bomb, you'll put it in the briefcase and carry all the way up where Hitler is having his meeting. Just place it outside of the door where he's having his meeting and reset the timer on the bomb so you'll get enough time to escape the castle. Once you successfully escape the castle, you have won the game.
I accidentally delete the part you reset the timer on bomb. Press B on your keyboard to put the bomb down and press R on the keyboard to reset the timer.
keyboard controls and joystick can be found in this info here:

Believe it or not, this game was terrifying back when I was a kid. Just hearing that HALT! was an adrenaline rush.
This does play into the fears of an undercover spy. If a guard says "HALT!", the usual reasons are either:
He needs you to do something;
He has caught you in the act of espionage; or
He knows you're a spy.
Worse of all, these reasons can overlap with each other!
100%
I played this over 30 years ago and was never able to finish it.. so satisfying to see the end!! Thanks!!
18:20 hahaha excellent work! Those final graphics were state of the art back then. Thumbs up for a retro game hero! :-D
One man made the whole game, and then sold the story to Id (Wolf3D), this game was the reason I wanted to be a programmer
Do you know how much money was made? Either by the programmer or Muse Software?
no, sorry, may even be wrong about him being alone, seems Muse grew to 40 employes when largest.
What will I be hearing in my sleep tonight: "Halt! Comen zee, our spice, heil!"
Fond memories of this one! Thanks for posting!
The sound when someone gets killed is creepy.
This was one of the first games to have humans as targets to kill. Previous arcade games only had robots, although this was partly because graphics were too primitive to make convincing-looking humans. Even though they were Nazis, I think they intended to make it unpleasant and a bit shocking to kill human beings. This was also shortly before the PMRC was getting warning labels on albums, D&D was suspected of being satanic in the media, and the possibility that videos games would be strictly regulated for depicting violence was a real threat to the industry.
Can I also tell you something else? I still do remember the time when Ted Bundy; murdered the Florida 7th grader name Kimberly Diane Leach, her abandoned remains were found under a hog shed.
In this case; I was still making fun of Craig Ferguson, just by fantasizing the ex CBS late night discussion show's Host sobbing like the Warner Bros looney tunes male cartoon barnyard hunting dog 🐶 did, in the episode called 'Daffy Duck 🦆 Hunting.'
George Shelton you’re kinda creepy
@@DxModel219 I'm also referring Craig Ferguson to; the Marvel comics villain name Sergeant Gore, whom was the Black Panther/T Challah's enemy.
A lot of waiting in this game between rooms. There was a countdown timer and if you pressed the space bar and held it down the timer would count down twice as fast. Fun game
Played this game over and over when i was a kid. Fist game I ever completed.
I had so much fun playing this game back then.
Lol my fist game in Apple II. Thanks for posting!

You know your an old player, and after the first kill you are simply befuddled... and after the second kill you scream "Search the body, you bloody fool and get the keys and ammo!!!"
THIS!!!
This was such a different game growing up!
How do you open the boxes? i can't get the bomb
I wonder what are those numbers at the left side of the screen at the perimeter.
They're the passes that you're holding. There's one valid pass for each of the three floors.
wow the sound quality! Amazing!
thanks man. ive waited too long to see the ending of this game
37 Years later. Game is still hard af.
How do you open the boxes? i can't get the bomb
I enjoyed this game in April 1985.
every time play this, the map is almost same.
Floor #1, move / shape. (move up and right)
floor #2, move reverse-U shape. (move straight up until no upper exit, next move right 2 times, next move straight down)
floor #3 has small room, so easy to find Hitler's HQ.
@@santiagooarg6990 the LOCKED cabinet, aim the gun, press number 0 to 9
if right number, a 'chik' sound appears.
And press right number and number 0 to 9
(if right number is 7, press 71 72 73, so on)
if the two right number, a 'chik' sound TWICE.
and repeat it again. the 3-digit number correct, open the box.
note : the bomb is essential, first aid kit and the dagger are useful.
other things in locked-cabinet are useless.
@@HP_Y thanks, but i've beat the game a few months ago lol.

Are you running a game cheat or something? I seem to remember the guards getting mad and chasing you when you ran. If they saw you. And how did you automatically know what pass to use for each floor? And the location of the bomb?
Your thinking of Castle Wolfenstein. It's predecessor.
I never did get very far in the original. Why no searching of the bodies?
I believe that if you kill too many guards, the SS will get suspicious, and start sweeping rooms for the intruder.
I see the internet wants me on Wolfenstein. Almost as if they're reading my mind.
I wonder how you spell the words the seated guards say, I know "halt!" Means "stop!"
How do u know, where u must go?
Halt. Calling thee. Ours pass. Ours pass. Lansung.
PLEASE CORRECT THE WORD "Caslte" TO "Castle".THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS NICE VIDEO
Thanks title has been updated.
what does arngsum mean?
Achtung! It can be a command like "Attention!" for soldiers, but it can also be exclaimed just to get someone's attention, like "Hey You!"
Will it run on i7 2600k ?
Ah, yes! I remember all these sounds now...
Their voice is scary...
Bo liczy się tylko Quake i MLP Want to know why? there was a program that muse software made called "the voice" where you can edit and make text to speech lines and something like that you could even type something and the computer would say it
plus it's on a old ccomputer.
I knew this.
thank you for posting this!
"AAAAUUUGHHHH!!!!!" 0:34
Ce jeu me fichait une de ces trouilles...mais j'adorais y jouer.
Dudes... it was in 1981, you think it going to be HD sound?
Szymon Zając I don't. I knew that computers back in the 80s like the commodore 64 where sort off like that.
This game is from 1984.
@@dinoboy1153 not even stereo, just a single mono speaker. It really was that loud, though. I think I used to mute the sound completely, I don't remember any volume controls.
This game was made in 1984.
There are a lot Atari games that came out before 1984 and they don’t cause ear damage like this
Perhaps if I showed it to you what the 2nd 'Castle Wolfenstein' looks like, you'll understand it.
I loved this gsme

Its locked bro
Oooooow! My ears!!!
Awesum! Ughhh!
This game is probably banned in europe because the gov't in those countries can't even handle a joke let alone a game.
the depictions of swastikas alone got it banned in Germany. This is also the first game I ever heard of where you kill human beings. This was a few years before PMRC got Parental Advisory stickers on albums (tapes and CDs) There was a lot banned during Reagan's terms in the 80s. Censorship goes on everywhere. 1984 was like 1984!
It certainly wasn’t allowed in east Germany, not sure about the west Germany tho.
where's the schnaaps? >hick<
I also got a funny joke to tell you; who has ever heard of a skunk who wears a pair of prescription glasses? I've seen such in a 'You Tube' video called 'Sabrina Remote Possibilities.' It features Sabrina skunk, whom was channel surfing 🌊. She had this dream of; being drawn like 'The Simpsons' characters, or even like the 'South Park' characters as of for an example.
Halt! Kommen sie!Ausweis!
There's actually a different Wolfenstein; that I'm actually after, it deals with WWII Nazi Germany. The positive side about this VG (video game) is that; it's not about Soviet Communist Bolshevik Russia, like the way the VG called 'Rushin Attack' does!
Not what I wanted or excepted
