What do you define as a "Standard gauge" is this standard NA resistance values? Euro values? Yanmar values? If it cannot be programmed how do you define that readings mean?
My boat is made in 1994 and all analog Vdo gauges and I am using Simrad MDF EVO3 I wonder if this will read my signal and if I will be able to see it on my MDF Also if I do I would like to keep my analog gauges and to see the data on 2 MDF units
I finally got around to setting this up. Got new sensors just trying to get oil pressure and temp on my garmin. Can not seem to get any signal to garmin. I have only used the nmea2000 backbone power. Does unit need its own power?

If this is powered by the network then will it be picked up by a plotter or MfD when connected to n2k or do you need to have a sender connected before the unit broadcast onto n2k? A sime scan of the n2k network on my plotter is NOT picking up this device... I have a B&G Vulcan 7 and a Ocean Link 4.3
you don’t use words to create a sentence in N2k. I guess if you’re looking for a way to describe how it converts analog data into n2k you would just simply say that. But there’s no sentence in programming terminology, just messages or successful communication. Also dim switches are dip switches. Dual inline pole. Contemplating getting one of these for my 1990 boat with twin engines. Do you install a lot of cx5003?
@@goodgiovanni it works as far as temp and fuel go, with plug and play. I have not been getting any output to the Vulcan 7R when the tach input is from a Balmar external regulator, I’m going to install a reluctor ring and pickup soon, and I’ll report back

Hi what does the second group of numbers mean. CX5003 - 06120. What does the 06120 mean as I see the last group of numbers change eg 08120, 07120, 03419. Thank you Martin
I just installed this unit and it appears to be working it does not read my tank sensors accurately but does give a reading perhaps I can scale them in the b&g chart plotter so that full is 100% and not 56%
I have this unit connected to my raymarine 12 rv for "fuel only" no other gauges on he boat but is reading level backward the more gas I put in the tank the less fuel is showing..Any help
It is. But you'll have to change all sensors who use resistance to dual station. Per example oil pressure and level indicator. If you do not change them you will get wrong readout.
I've connected this unit to my honda remote outboard - see the interface on the Raymarine Axiom 7 network and display however I get no RPM signal (connected the grey send wire of the honda outboard to the RPM input). Any idea?
to answer my own question - it was easy. The standard setting of the unit is ratio 1 (all dipswitches off) - I've set it to 7 rotations for my honda BF20D (closest to the actual RPM) and I immediately got RPM on my Axiom 7 MFD. Works perfect.

@@PedroRodriguez-ui6pq had to check, it is possible to change the way the fuel level sender works, put a jumper wire between switch and gnd. Then you should have it working .

sounds like you still have your analog gauge connected to the sender, doubling the resistance
