  • . This is episode #6 and our final iteration of our series about the prestigious sparkling wines from the French region of Champagne.
We’ve already discussed so many aspects of Champagne, the grapes, the many different styles, the terroirs, the sweetness levels. If you’ve watched these six episodes, first of all thank you, you’re brave, but more importantly, you must be starting to be a real Champagne wine connoisseur so well done. Now there is one important aspect that I want to cover here, even thought it’s pretty broad, and that’s what are what we call the Prestige Cuvees, those top Champagnes, those flagship labels every Champagne house and producer makes to highlight what they can do best. And while this is relatively obvious, and many can tell you about those, I also want to add something extra that very few have in mind, which is that there are even more special Champagnes, single vineyard ones, so we will have a word about those as well.
    00:00 - Intro
01:30 - What is a Prestige Cuvée Champagne?
05:18 - Prestige Cuvées to have in mind
    08:30 - The 31 Clos of Champagne

Thank you Julien! As with all the other Champagne, Bordeaux, Bourgogne, videos a great job. This is s complex region and you’ve really broken it down into manageable, knowledgeable sections. I’ve been lucky to have tried several of the “prestige” brands, but not any of the Clos wines. If you were to pick one to try for someone studying wine as an enthusiast, what would you recommend? Keep the videos coming!! Thank you.

Thank You very much for your amzing video's. Very interesting for newbies in Wine, like my. Will there be some reviews of wines in the future? For me would be very interesting how long I can keep certain wines. ex. I just bought this: 2015 VOSNE ROMANEE LES SUCHOTS (Camille Giroud, 0,750l). Because I know the names but dont find how many years I can keep it in my cave. Keep up the good work. very good channel.
