Great video folks & beautiful fish. Music was kept low enough for me to enjoy the wonderful sounds of the river flowing, many thanks for that & tight lines as always. Derick.

Great video what river are yous fishing? Looks gd fun! Want to start fly fishing. Want to fish smaller streams and rivers what rod and real would you recommend?
Depends what you want to do. Generally don’t need more than a 9ft 4 weight rod for most of our rivers. We also use a 10 or 11ft 3wt when fishing with nymphs. It’s the river esk
Beautiful river, very clean and some amazing fish caught. Reminds me of my own doorstep river, the 33 miles of the river Devon that runs through Clackmannanshire. Love the video, roll on the fishing season 👍
Thanks for watching! You’re right, many similar qualities to the Devon. We fished it for the first time in the summer, absolutely loved it! Tight lines when it comes ;)
Awright lads I thought the river was damaged with all the iron in the water saying that I only went about 2/3 miles up from the big weir in musselborough wher the old job centre was I’m in Potobello & miss the Esk & been mostly fishing the water of leith any tips on how far up to go 🤷🏼♂️ ✌🏼💙🎣🏴 Thanks lad’s lovely vid btw 💯👌🏼
Plenty of great fishing and sport looks like you have your own wee river of paradise on the doorstep. Thanks for sharing.

Didn’t realise the grayling are as far up as the glen. Nice film lads. I think I recognised the stretch behind dobies there too?

How much cost permit on north esk? Only fly fishing?
Check out fishing around the forth website for permits. Fly only ;)
@@AnglingScotland what I can catch on North Esk? Brown trout or grayling or maybe something else?
Both, sea trout & salmon if you are lucky enough all down towards Musselburgh :)
Belters 👍
