Great stuff guys, agree that Stan Solo is the gold standard and an absolute god-send for those of us that have only recently got into vintage Star Wars collecting.
This was the most succinct account of the events in question, and certainly helped me get completely caught up while getting to know Chris Smith a bit better. What a good lad. And Stan! WOW! Great stream, really insightful. I have just purchased my first droid from Stan Solo via the link below. To Chris, I was impressed with how you were on the livestream which did kind of spur me on to buying from you although I have been a fan of your work for some time. I like the fact that you owned your past with the football shirts and I agree completely with what you said. Personally I think charging as much as football clubs do for kits for fans is more criminal than what you served time for, sometimes it's not about right or wrong, just legal or illegal. Unfortunately you fell on the illegal side on that occasion and you have served your time and are working to make sure that you don't fall on that side again. Keep up the good work, I think you have done a nice balance of customs and reproductions. Some collectors can't justify spending £££ on original last 17 figures, so having a cheaper option out there isn't a bad thing, just something that a casual collector can justify spending their money on that is a fair price for what it is and especially for what has gone into making it so close to original.
I am not a lawyer and really don‘t know, what is allowed to do and what not … but as long as Hasbro gives us just 1 new figure of the good old times (Kenner 78-85) in years, I love guys like Stan Solo, who give us excellent Slave Leias, Rebel Fleet Troopers or Garindans etc. pp. Thanks for your great support, Chris! You make our dreams come true.

If hasbro bought an all star football team, they would find a way for them to lose every game, not have any shoes, and none of their uniforms would match or be in the right size. All the tickets would get scalped and you'd never even see them in person. Then they would blame the football fans. Its clearly their fault 😃

None of these customs are exactly cheap..but I have a number of utterly flawless droids from SS and just got his Slave Leia... I was in the market for a Shadow Trooper, and TFSB had one....but carded its over 120 bucks CDN....Yikes...now part of that is OUR shitty economy thanks to our moron PM Turd The Lesser...but still...thats a kick in the teeth Im not sure I can afford in this day and age.

I backed the first 13 from Chris crap and I would like to say to everyone out there, I haven't received them still? I have spent hundreds of pounds with chris from Stan Solo and I would back any of his products and he is a man of his word.

I got a Yak Face and Blue Snaggletooth, wouldn't have been able to complete my Vintage Kenner Star Wars collection otherwise, given the prices on the secondary market for the originals. Chris seems to be a good guy, and he is being honest. Keep up the good work!
I got Blue Snaggy when he came out, but Yak Face eluded me. By the time I was ready to pay $150 for a figure (the only figure in the line I don't have), the price had gone above $200. Now it's above $300. So I have the StanSolo/TFSB Yak Face and happy as a peach with it. I also bought the Blue Snaggy so I could have one to play with on my desk.

Glad I bought my bantha from Stan Solo (introduced to me through a RB video). Not sure if Chris already had legal advice about this, but a non compete clause that would forbid anyone from manufacturing a product all over the world is just not legal, it’s BS. No one can stop anybody from doing business, though you might be liable for using stolen trade secrets. But in that case, there is no trade secret, it’s just plain freedom of doing business and applying a general knowledge about knowing how to do things. Besides the design of those things are in the public domain and they can not be copyrighted again, unless their design is changed significantly for instance the recent Hasbro Droids figures released through Target USA. Ps this isn’t legal advice, but I can assure the other guy didn’t put the money for an international trade lawyer as it’s be too darn expensive.
Mr Krahn is a con man plain and simple, he's told so many lies at this stage that he no longer knows what the truth actually is. He's taken so many good people's money including mine and provided us with nothing. Apart from update after update filled with verbal diarrhea and more lies and deception. He continually tries to deflect the truth by calling attention towards Mr Smiths past offence. But I've ordered over 40 figures from Mr Smith and I've received every single figure and they have been exceptional quality. Whereas Mr Krahn has produced one figure in all of that time and the quality of that figure is terrible. In fact it's so terrible that the arm snapped off as soon as I tried to move it!
I gave away nearly all my vintage "Star Wars" stuff decades ago, but there was one item I always wanted -- a POTF Amanaman. Never even laid eyes on one until they started showing up for a hundred bucks (loose) in comic book shops in the 1990s. And earlier this year, thanks to Stan Solo Creations, I was able to realise that dream -- for a tenth of the ransom the scalpers and hoarders usually demand for a 36-year-old piece of plastic. I've been collecting nearly 30 years and grew up with the OT in the 70s and 80s, and I for one love the fact that you can buy something that looks identical to an original for a fraction of the price. Unfortunately you have the vintage police and snobs who are only worried about their investments of their originals Keep going Chao.
Not here to start any trouble - Tony and Chris; I didn't realise how bad things were regarding SLC. I took a huge step away from this world for several months as I cared for my Dad who passed away from cancer earlier this year. That made me realise how stupid all these past arguments had become, I was as guilty as anyone of keyboard warrioring, going through a very trying time personally. Nobody should be losing money or not receiving products as promised. Whilst I'll never be entirely comfortable with the reproduction figures, I think the customs are really well done. I see there is still extremism on *both* sides of the repro/anti-repro argument which is sad to see. I hope one day some middle ground might be found beyond all the name calling. I think one day it might make an interesting debate. Anyway, I hope people either get their products or their money refunded, I think we always had a fear this would happen as SLC were clearly biting off more than they could chew. I do remember you telling me that at the time, Chris, he was running before he could walk.

But also last year Staceys Step Dad died of cancer.... And hes left a HUGE hole in the family, a HUGE hole,... I will definitely have a chat with you Dan on messenger if that's OK, you know I was ok with sending you and the other lads bits before it all went pear shaped, and yes me and you also had that chat about Krahn if you remember, because as soon as he took over SLC group, he also removed all you's,.. Anyway enough said of that, we should all work together.... Sad news like that puts things into perspective, but hopefully it could make a change somehow, appreciate you coming on and posting that 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Is Krahn trying to shut SSC down so he basically has control of the market or is it just a vendetta? I've only recently discovered the custom market by accident so don't really know how widespread this market is. I've bought 3 figs from SSC and have been chufed with each of them.

I think the language is wrong. reproduction means that there is a duplication. However, many of his toys are not reproductions. They are new creations that Kenner and Lucas neglected to make. I feel he is righting a terrible wrong that was disregarded. I'm no lawyer, but, i'm sure there are this is a crafted item and not manufactured for great returns.
How I see it..buys a s.s for 45 spanking new and beautiful gets pissed off they didn't get a kenner in that condition for that price. They act like it's collector purity but it's really greed nobody that gets one actually thinks it's a waste of money unless they only bought it to for monetary value if you love toys they kick ass
I see it as hoarders and scalpers are realising that they now can't charge multiple hundreds to unload decades-old pieces of plastic, because collectors are getting near-perfect replicas for a tenth of the ransom being demanded -- and they're getting butthurt about it.

Yeah ... screw them. I’m hoping the rest of the “Last 15 / 17” figures are produced by SS. I’d never pay for a vintage EV-9D9. The prices are crazy - and at 36 years - and counting - the figure’s arms and legs are very brittle. I’d rather own a new, minty version (for a fraction of the cost) - that can be handled safely, without fear of breaking.
Just curious about the legal stuff at the start. So if making physical changes makes it legal with the government as it's no longer counterfeit, what about the names, logos, art, etc..? Am I right in that using that to make money is just a civil issue? Meaning, the state could care less, but Disney has the ability to bring these things to civil court if they ever wanted?
Disney also have the power to stop, fan made cosplay, helmets, t-shirts, cups, pictures etc etc.... So if you are a Star Wars collector..... Is all your stuff Lucas licensed!??

Is Krahn trying to shut SSC down so he basically has control of the market or is it just a vendetta? I've only recently discovered the custom market by accident so don't really know how widespread this market is. I've bought 3 figs from SSC and have been chufed with each of them.

I think the language is wrong. reproduction means that there is a duplication. However, many of his toys are not reproductions. They are new creations that Kenner and Lucas neglected to make. I feel he is righting a terrible wrong that was disregarded. I'm no lawyer, but, i'm sure there are this is a crafted item and not manufactured for great returns.
How I see it..buys a s.s for 45 spanking new and beautiful gets pissed off they didn't get a kenner in that condition for that price. They act like it's collector purity but it's really greed nobody that gets one actually thinks it's a waste of money unless they only bought it to for monetary value if you love toys they kick ass
I see it as hoarders and scalpers are realising that they now can't charge multiple hundreds to unload decades-old pieces of plastic, because collectors are getting near-perfect replicas for a tenth of the ransom being demanded -- and they're getting butthurt about it.

I’d never pay for a vintage EV-9D9. The prices are crazy - and at 36 years - and counting - the figure’s arms and legs are very brittle.
I’d rather own a new, minty version (for a fraction of the cost) - that can be handled safely, without fear of breaking.
Just curious about the legal stuff at the start. So if making physical changes makes it legal with the government as it's no longer counterfeit, what about the names, logos, art, etc..? Am I right in that using that to make money is just a civil issue? Meaning, the state could care less, but Disney has the ability to bring these things to civil court if they ever wanted?
