Towards the end of the war, the factories were pushed to get vehicles out asap and they didn’t take the time to make sure everything was in mint condition so vehicles were breaking down more.
As a War Thunder player I have been never been more insult by him saying the M22 is a heavy 40 ton tank
also that they highlighted the commander port when he said "Little gunner hole right there next to the driver"
Literaly one of the first airdroped tank in the World fucking light as Fuck so light in fact in it's first deploiment they got dunk on by artillerie almost imiediatly

Honestly. get an armoured warfare historian to react to this game. Chellby is cool and all but his knowledge especially on the more technical stuff is lacking. A historian would be great because they know what the hell they're talking about and can even give you a nice history lesson looking at some of the older vehicles.
Or better yet, have em both. History expert to provide the history, and chellby to provide the modern relation and experience.
I would suggest the Chieftain but unfortunately he is sponsored by War gaming.
@@i_nameless_i-jgsdf due to the recent thing that happened to Zultan, where he did a WoT sponsor whilst being in the war thunder content creator program thingy, I'd say it is possible.
However if it isn't, they could have him react to WoT instead.
@@tribal1752 Zultan is alright, but it would be better if they actually have a professional armored historian (like the Chieftain for example). Maybe Gameologist can just hire a historian in a tank museum next time and reacting along with Chellby.

@@Phvpark Steel beasts was pretty much the only true simulator of armoured combat but it is really old and doesn't look too good anymore on the graphics side of things. GHPC hopefully will be a more accessible Steel Beasts game with a better game engine.

@@adenmitchell7633 In all honesty, I'm not sure he was talking about the cupola. I believe he may have been referring to the pistol port that sits on the side of the turret where the commander would sit.

You need an Armor Officer here like H.R. McMaster or someone of the caliber. Dude was probably a "Tank Commander" on an M1A2 for a little as an E-5. Not exactly your tank expert. Dude said "Missile Turret on a 113" Like my guy... its a TOW.
"Javelin, or RPG" there's like three missiles the US uses from the ground, Bradleys (which he has to have seen in person at LEAST a lot) use the same TOW missiles. like 10% of all 13 year olds know what a TOW is.

That has to be the single most Tank Commander name in the entire universe.
I'm sure he has skills but in this footage he just describes what he sees on the screen. Technically, it is 'reacting' but... if you have someone like that over you could film so much more.

For being tank crew he sure has no clue what hes talking about. Makes sense tho hes not a history or tank buff.
I love the idea behind your videos but would like to give you guys an advice for future ones.
First of all, definitely get someone extremely curious who will be able to maintain a good, entertaining and most of all enjoyable conversation with the "expert".
This leads to them to share a lot more knowledge.
Or an "expert" that has a complete passion on what is talking about, let's say a vet who is a gun nut reacting to almost any FPS game, they'll not only point out errors (like how in most games all guns are left handed and they are used as right handed one) but give anecdotes of their experiences with those guns.
A great example of all this is Mikecampfire with his "Mike's Guns Rants Compilation" here on UA-cam.
Lastly, not because I was Tank Crew men makes me a tank expert.
Definitely nothing against Chellby he looks like a great guy, but definitely he was out of place and on the comments you can see it clearly.
If he was gonna react, show him something that he knows about so he can share his knowledge. Let's say gameplay of the tank he served in, asked him if it sounds, looks or acts like he remembers. Even you can go into ask him what he will do in those in-game situations using his knowledge. How he will lead his crew, where he will position his tank, what round he will order to be loaded, etc.
Hope at least it helps to get the quality higher, and good look on the journey to the 2M million subscribers 😁

@@pomatoatatm1020 not really? it's really designed to work in a certain range of angles. it's not vertical inside the armor compartments, but the angling inside isn't just because hurrdurrr steel thicker by LOS when angled.
box tanks (like the leopard 2a4) had equally effective armor for decades, unsloped, and the massive improvements (primarily in CE not apfsds) in protection in 2a5+ variants from those wedges aren't really because they're angly, but because the armor is spaced.
tl;dr it's not a t-34 or sherman, wayyyy more is going on to the point that if you mention sloped armor as some sort of selling point or extra great thing about abrams survivability you're an idiot. almost everything has sloped armor

as much as he säys the tiger 1 was feared it was not modern by 1944 the british had the 17pdr, the soviets t34 85 with apcr rounds that could pen it from long ranges. In fact the americans had the hvad round and even the 76mm could penetrate it in the front from close range combat.
A yes russian APCR witch had a tendency to EXPLODE IN THE BARREL but just the IS-2 angry 122mm is enougth

I keep seeing experts notice one main tactical factor that is not implemented In warthunder and that is barrel collision, it would benefit using smaller tanks in forests. You would have to be even more aware of the terrain angles elevations and it would change how you fight in urban combat. Please gaijin we need this.

Might be better off googling that cause I think it would be a very long answer. There have been ideas for electric tanks over the years. Famous example, Ferdinand Porsche was originally going to make the Tiger tank electric (although the generator was powered by a gasoline engine) but it didn't perform well at trials. The design eventually became the Elefant tank destroyer but less than 100 were produced.
Big if indeed. Just about impossible unless you could power it through solar. Not like you're expecting to find charging stations on the field hah.
It would have a huge benefit as batteries don't make noise like engine. you would have an essentially silent tank. I suspect that if this ever happened they'd attempt to make it a light, yet extremely heavily armed, fast moving tank, and it'd probably look similar to the PL-O1 prototype tank. A heavily stealth based tank from...I wanna say Sweden that is meant to sneak behind enemy lines, ambush, and still be fast enough to escape back into the forests that are so common in Sweden.
