    Of course he lectures here the year before I start at NYFA... I would almost trade in my getting a picture and discussion and pre-showing of La Mission with Benjamin Bratt and meeting Phillip Seymour Hoffman to have seen this.

    first of all there is such a thing as a painting school. just give you an example of who has been to 'painting school': manet and monet. and you don't go to painting school to learn how to paint, you go there to fine-tune your skills and explore them. sure you could do that yourself but part of a deal with any kind of school is being motivated and guided by a teacher. and with film schools, you know how much film equipment costs?

    Having gone there, not true at all. Yes I could act beforehand but I learned a lot about how films are made, how television is shot, from this school. As well as scriptwriting, stunt work and how to use your body and voice to accommodate for stage and screen differently.

    Film schools are so useless! Might as well have a poetry school or painting school. You're either talented or not - you can't learn it.
