  • Old Huppert Furnace, waiting for new controller. I currently have no information on manufacture date, it is a 110v, 8amp electric furnace. Ultimately it will be used as a heat treat furnace for cryptocrystalline rock for flint knapping.

    Haven't seen one of these in a while. I used to build these at the KH Huppert factory in South Holland, Illinois, back in the mid 70's.

    Thanks. I have one that looks newer and it has a two prong plug that I'm sure is original. I think the practice of grounded electrical systems came about in the early 1960's everything about this one looks like something from the 1940's.

    Good morning, I am a chemistry professor in a technological institute in Venezuela, in our laboratory we have a Hupperts Mighty Midget Model 333 muffle, which we want to recover, the equipment works but its temperature meter does not, the needle does not move. The information available on the internet is basically about selling this "seniority" of equipment. Your video is the only interesting source I could find. Please, do you have information about this equipment that could be useful to repair the temperature meter? We would appreciate your help. Bye.

      Unfortunately we simply replaced parts with new many years ago. I never found any legacy documents or repair manuals, sorry.

      Ok, understood, then we will have to improvise, and in some way relive this little one. Thanks for the input,
      Bye.

      hi, Did you manage to find more information on how to update this furnace?

    • @Wertak68
      @Wertak68  2 роки тому +1

      @@alexib-1 unfortunately I have not. The best option if you want an operational oven would be new parts. Any broken furnace with intact heating coils can be easily updated relatively cheaply.

    I just got one of these from my mom. She said it came from a dentist office. Mine has a plaque under the dial on the right. MOD 434 DL. Seems to work.

      Working on a style ST I resent purchased. Relay chatters. Contacted Huppert. They are sailing me some parts and will hopefully provide a wiring diagram.

      It requires a solid state relay with heat sink and a good thermocouple. There are plenty of youtube videos on upgrading old furnaces.
