I have enough experience with schizophrenic/psychotic people in my own life and social environment to say that I have no doubt that Mike Lindell is legitimately mentally ill and needs professional help. I don't mean this as an insult - not in any way.
I wouldn't question for a minute that he actually believes everything he says. And if you look at who set up and runs his social media platform or works on his other projects, like this movie, it's pretty clear that he's being taken advantage off by scumbags who will possibly bleed him dry financially before the worst will hit him in the defamation lawsuits.
MyPillow is currently falling apart, already - and once Dominion and Smartmatic are done with him, he'll be completely alone and broke.
Its really not that uncommon. Drug addicts generally tend to become addicted to other things after they initially beat their addiction to drugs.

Out of fairness [as I'm from the UK so it's not my fight] I do need to point out #NotMyPresident from 2016 and anger at the alleged 'stolen' election in 2000 [although neither went as far as 2020 did].
There was also many Republicans who publicly accepted defeat in 2020 and former president George W. Bush condemned the 2021 Capitol riot.
Similar to how in the UK there was demands to 're-run' the 2016 Brexit referendum which is hardly democratic [Full disclosure- I voted 'No' to it and think it was a big mistake but the majority voted 'Yes' so we have to stick by it]. #NotMyPrimeMinister trended on line and there were minor protests over the 2019 UK General Election [won by the right leaning Conservatives] when that wasn't even close [Conservatives getting 11% more votes than second place and nearly 150 more seats].
Republicans and hypocrisy are synonymous.

His problem is that because he made Facebook and turned into a social media monopoly, he convinced himself that he is both mentally and genetically fit to be a techno emperor. It should also be mentioned that there were probably several dozen other groups trying to beat him to the Facebook punch and thousands of people who knew something Facebook-esque was around the corner. Mark was just ruthless and charismatic enough to convince us all to use Facebook.

In fairness, I should point out that the Razzies weren't really cheating by nomination Absolute Proof and Music, despite coming out in 2021, as they were merely following the Oscars: Indeed, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic & the delay of the ceremony, the Academy changed their deadline that year from from December 31, 2020 to February 28, 2021. And as the Razzies billed themselves as the anti-Oscars of sorts, they played along by the new rules as well. Notably, with the Academy also allowing for streaming films at that year's Oscars with looser guidelines, this Razzies also began to allow streaming films this year, the Razzies followed suit there as well (hence Absolute Proof & 365 Days getting nominated), and have actually kept allowing streaming films since then, although they don't require any sort of theatrical release as well.
It is very convenient though given making 'Absolute Truth' the worst picture would be very topical in early 2021 but by the 2022 ceremony no one would have cared.
Just when I thought there couldn't be anything worse than Music - which SOOOOOO offended people with autism like me on the DEEPEST LEVEL IMAGINABLE and Sia could ROT IN HELL for all I care!!! - apparently I was proven wrong, and fortunately the Smeghead comes to the rescue to make the experience far more entertaining, undeniably at the cost of his own sanity, which remains at least half if not wholly intact.
And for an extra layer of awful, it sounded a lot like Sia manipulated the kid into taking the title role.
Rest easy. That movie seems to have TORPEDOED Sia's career. She hasn't put out any new songs since and, if she did, they don't seem to have charted. The only song of hers that got major radio play was Unstoppable, and that was because it was used in an ad.

People like TIm Allen and Tom Selleck who are both republicans have zero issues getting work constantly.

This... urgh... "docu-movie" is essentially a 2-hour version of the exceprts from J. Jonah Jameson's podcast that occasionally pop up in the Insomniac Spider-Man games. The difference is that those excerpts are only a few seconds long and are actually entertaining.

1:34 I've been saying that ever since looked up the list of nominees that year, it was such an obvious choice, critics hated it, fans of the books hated it, newcomers hated it, general movie fans hated it, but yet not a single nomination, and for those who said that maybe Disney payed off the razzies voters not to nominate it, A - you really assume Disney would gave away their money for something? B - One of the 2022 worst picture nominees was the live-action Disney Pinocchio movie, clearly the razzies had no issue nominating movies from that company.
Definitely! It was so bad. They took Artemis' backstory anmd yeeted it out the window. He's not supposed to be a good guy, damnit. When my daughter and I started reading the books, we were about a chapter or so in when she said, "Wow, he's really not a nice guy, is he?" Granted she was young at the time so she couldn't call him a shitty person but the point stands. He was supposed to be a super-villain.

I really admire your commitment, a lot of people on youtube tend to start a series and don't finish it because they got sick of it or just bored and wanted to do something else, but not you, you started something and want to see it to the end, and in a good/professional way which is why I really enjoy your reviews. Yeah, Lindell is not a conman (At least not in the traditional definition of the word). He's a true believer and he 100% fully and wholly believes every single thing he's said.
His interview with Jimmy Kimmel was hilarious to watch but it left it pretty clear that he firmly believes what he says. If anything, I can't help but feel slightly bad for the guy. His obsession with the orange lardo has ruined him. Financially, politically, and socially. And he's still going.

I remember a coworker described 365 days as the best thing ever and "so romantic!". WTF?? what's wrong with people?!!!. 50 shades was bad enough but the concept of 365 days is even more insane. My guess is it's "romantic" only because it's a rich good looking guy that does it, so that fact somehow blocks the rest of the horrible idea in some people's brains and the only part they register is "the girl got the good looking guy" and they go "awww".

"Absolute Proof" is not a feature film or a documentry. It's more like a broadcast. A bad one? Of course.
But even if this had been shown in theaters, it would not fulfil the standards of a movie ...

My aunt- whom I love dearly despite the fact that she’s a crazy Trumpster- was one of those who believed the election was rigged, and my question to her was always, “If the Democrats rigged the election, don’t you think they would have made sure they had an overwhelming majority in both chambers? Don’t you think McConnell and Graham would have been the first people they’d make sure weren’t re-elected? And don’t you think they wouldn’t have left control of the Senate hanging by a thread and dependent upon two races in a historically red state?”
I doubt I actually got through to her, but she did (eventually) stop, at least publicly, claiming the election was rigged. Now she’s all about how Trump is innocent and he’s so much better than Biden. Eventually, it gets to a point where I have to say, “Whatever helps you sleep at night.”

The Golden Raspberry's Awards had so many other movies that came out in 2020 they could have put on here instead of "Absolute Proof"and "Music". "Assassin 33 A.D.", "Antebellum", "Faith Under Fire", "John Henry", "The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson", "Love, Wedding, Repeat", and "Bobbleheads : The Movie".
It's almost done. Just 2 more films and the journey's at it's end.

By using "documovie" he's basically admitting that it's more fictional "movie" than factual "documentary"
Even though it's not on the Worst Picture Project, I think you should take a look at Kangaroo Jack and not just because it's a terrible movie. But also, the behind-the-scenes info is fascinating. They tried to hard to make a dark comedy into a family-friendly movie and the end result has such tonal dissonance. You have a movie that's too kiddie for adults, but also too adult for kids.

Odd question here Sean but, out of ALL the movies you have seen that won Worst Picture, which includes ones from 1980 to present day, which one would you say was the worst? The one that has no redeeming qualities, and can't even be enjoyed in a so bad it's good way like The Room or Sharknado.
If Mike is just acting stupid (and I don't actually thin k he's acting) then he deserves an Oscar, not a Razzy. What a performance! I could actually feel my IQ dropping .75 of a point with every sentence he spewed.

I'll say this in the "movie's" favor, it does a good job in making the person watching it feel like they are spiraling into insanity. Most good movies can't even do that.
Also yeah, this shouldn't count for the razzies and 365 Days was the worst of the nominees.

As someone who has not seen Absolute Proof and doesn't plan to, I agree that it doesn't really qualify as a movie. I think the Razzies picked it for the same reason Bush and his cronies won in 2004 and Trump and Kellyanne Conway won in 2018. Taking potshots at the Republican Party except for the fact that this awards show is supposed to be about making fun of bad movies. As you said in your 2nd Look of Catwoman, if you hijack your own awards show for this reason, then they don't mean anything, not that they ever meant anything at all.
