- This HD dramatic video choreographed to powerful music introduces the viewer/student to Volcanoes. It is designed as a motivational "trailer" to be shown in classrooms by Earth Science and Physical Science teachers in middle school, high school and college as a visual Introduction to the power and wonder of Earth's volcanic nature.

Music is "Sirens of Hyperion", by Audiomachine

I wish to thank all the quality video and music producers whose postings enabled me to assemble this video for educational use.
To best enjoy this video, turn up your speakers. The music is very powerful and dramatic!

Until recently, you were able to download my videos for free from my other video storage site (vimeo.com). Recently, however, they began charging a significant membership fee to enable that feature, so downloading from there is no longer available. However, you can search for and obtain free download addons for your browser that will allow you to download my videos from either UA-cam or Vimeo.
WHY IS THIS SO DRAMATIC I CANT
When I was teaching middle school Earth science, I used this video to kick off the unit on volcanoes. I had a huge screen and a terrific sound system (I purchased with my own dollars). I turned the lights off, turned the volume up, and pressed play. I wish you could have seen my student's faces at 2:06! Their mouths popped open and their eyes got wide as saucers. I had total engagement on that unit...all thanks to THIS video. Many thanks, Mr. Gregorio!
So glad. That is exactly why I made it ... to make the eyes of kids BIG!
@@TravisSchmidt634 imagine being so bored you have to go through the comments going "idc" "no one asked"
How can you not like a volcano video. Kept me awake in my school days.
I just used this to introduce volcanoes in my kindergarten K3 class in Hong Kong. It's English, not science, but I knew they would love it and I'm working to combine the two subjects i.e. teaching English through science.
Material like this is gold! Thank you so much.
Massive respect to the person who went to the center of the earth
Graphics look awesome with that music behind .
I used to work with you at OP. I'm now teaching elementary and middle school ESL in Morocco and use your videos to introduce our science topics! Thanks!
For all those who have asked, the music is called "Sirens of Hyperion. You can find it here. ua-cam.com/video/6eM6xxHEuJQ/v-deo.html
+Frank Gregorio Man great job the editing and timing is great =)
AWESOME!!! I watched this in science class, my classmates and teacher were blown away...
Chris: I am very happy the video helped you. I produced the video but used individual clips from a variety of other sources, including documentaries on Geology subjects produced by the major cable stations. The great graphics are due to them (someday I hope to learn how to make that kind of CGI effect).
I'm showing this to my Earth Science class tomorrow! A good way to pump them up after Spring Break!
Excellent work. Thank you very much. Thanks for sharing with the global educational community.
Big respect for the camera man #camera man lives matter
Your videos are unmatched at getting a 5th graders attention!!! It might be a bit intense for them, but they are mesmerized and get excited!!! Thank you so much for making this video and the others as well.

That was really neat!! My daughter is studying volcanoes in school and this video shows the different parts of the terms she is learning and can recognize them! Thank you for posting and putting this together!! Very interesting!!

LOL THIS IS SO DRAMATIC AND GAVE ME CHILLS
Great. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Ghezal.
it is so intense like a movie trailer
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos. Doing more elaborate instructive videos choreographed to music takes a lot more time, particularly if there is no narration (only text). They also begin to resemble short documentaries. I have one such 9 minute video on my site (Meiosis, the Continuation of Life), but I suspect I will not be producing another one like it until I complete my introductory trailer series.
You're welcome! I am so glad the video was enjoyed by young kids as well as teenagers.
this is what students need to see!!!!!!!!!!! Real life examples not just drawings or animations on how things happen :D Cuz seeing real things are beautiful and inspiring xD
This introduction is magnificent!! My students were delighted and engaged. Thanks
at my school the teacher put this up and to be honest it was really cool and at 2:59-3:05 just made all student gasp. Volcanoes can be very dangerous but beautiful too i guess
I use many of your music videos for my Historical and Physical Geology courses. My students at the university truly enjoy viewing them. Outstanding work on your part. Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing more soon. Dr. Tambra L. Eifert
it looks like a trailer for a movie XD
marco augenbroe I thought the same lol
Great graphics, also noteworthy some latter shots are from Dante’s Peak

I think this will really get my son excited about doing some research!
Wow! That was intense! This video is so helpful for we watched it at school... While screaming, thank you for making such videos for helping people learn more about volcanoes.

love this clip - use it whenever i'm teaching volcanoes or tectonic activity etc
It is a mix of several songs. The main song is from the "Sirens Of Hyperion", by Audiomachine.
There is an industry of composers who write short music clips specifically for movie trailers. It is big business. Over 20 such companies operate in America. They compose powerful, dramatic, emotional music intentionally designed to capture the interest and emotion of the listener. They then sell the clips on albums to Hollywood studios, hopefully so they will be bought and used. UA-cam has thousands of such clips. Just type "trailer music", and begin listening. Download what you like.
The is amazing my science teacher told to watch this video.
loved it I watched this I one of my lessons. And asked where my teacher found it. He showed me. And I just love re watching it.
Thank you so much for uploading this video. I will definitely show this to my students!!

Glad you like the video. Please help me spread the word via your social media pages.
I use a suite of software from AVS. The entire suite is only $59 with lifetime updates, and it does a really good job. UA-cam does not allow website addresses in comments, but you can search for AVS software and the first link with be AVS4U. Enjoy.
Amazing. Unbelievable. Excellent
Your music suits the topic so well, keep up the good work mate!

Hi Frank,
This is Jean Cao, a video editor from Media Partners Asia, a Hong Kong based media-ralted information provider. Your work is fantastic and inspiring for me on an opening video.
The video I’m looking for can start from the core of earth, and then spread to the several layers until the ground level. Then the sun is coming over the earth.
So I’m asking whether you can customise the video for me. We can discuss on details and quotation later if you’re interested in.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Many thanks,
Jean
