Their is another card with deathstrike :p Master of Cruelties and Nirkana Cutthroat (if u lvl her up) But Mire is NOT deathstrike. Flying, first strike, haste Whenever Mirri the Cursed deals combat damage to a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on Mirri the Cursed.
Glad to see the Nighthawk in this list! That vampire won me some games and got me out of trouble more than one time! My recent fave Deathtouch card would be Vraska, Swarm's Eminence. A Deathtouch tribal card and a creature generator that could kill any Planeswalker with a single hit? Yes, please! Take all of my Rabid Bites!
The top 10 Double Strikers would be interesting. It's a very powerful mechanic and not very common. I suppose Temur Battle Rage would appear on that list somewhere, if it suits the list.

Soooo many!
I really only casual but my favorite combination to use is always been the thicket basilisk with lure the stone tongue basilisk doing both lures effect and deathtouch was a great bord cleaner for me

I built a completely filthy and hilariously degenerate Naya list for multiplayer based on Hornet Nest/Boros Reckoner and Blasphemous Act/Star of Extinction with Taminoa/Soulfire Grandmaster for life gain. Deck was banned after turn 4.
Hornet queen could jump to top if you had a doubling season, primal vigor, panharmonicon, coat of arms, and helm of the host as well as paradox engine and Rhys the redeemed would result in in finite tokens forever with 16 1/1s entering every combat
anyone know why hornet nest wasnt on the defender top 10? the bottom card on that list only had 4 points, and hornets nest apparently got 24 in standard, which was before the defender list came out
“If it does at least 1 point of damage to it.” Isn’t this incorrect? I thought it is if the creature does damage at all. Damage can be reduced to 0, but still kill the creature. With Infect and Deathtouch, dealing no “points” of damage, it will still trigger Deathtouch.
I wish they wouldn't make cards like Wurmcoil Engine. If you're going to make something so overpowered at least have the decency to print a lot of them. Feels hollow to win with a more expensive deck and even worse when the cards are so obviously overtuned.

People forget that the attacking player can assign the exact damage needed to kill a defending creature. So attacking a hornet nest will only produce 2 wasp tokens. That's why you have to force the damage with Fighting effects.
+Andrés Prochnik You can only choose where to assign damage with trample, though. You can't decide to do 2 damage to the nest with your random 5/5, you have to do 5.

Every black / blue control deck needs a playset of Baleful Strix. It is the ultimate blocker and it replaces itself.
