- This is a walking tour around downtown Phoenix Arizona. Downtown Phoenix Arizona is a Vibrant business and entertainment district. Here you will find great shopping at the Cityscape Phoenix complex, art galleries, restaurants, brewpubs, major league sports activities, live concerts and so much more within walking distance from almost anywhere in the neighborhood. It is also a major center of employment for the region, with many financial, legal, and other national and international corporations housed in a variety of different skyscrapers. Downtown Phoenix has a Walk Score of 85 making it the most walkable area in the city. As we walk, you will see
many historic buildings and sights as well as new modern buildings.
Alfred Hitchcock filmed the opening sequence in “Psycho” from the rooftop of this historic one of the buildings. It was the Orpheum Lofts and at the time was the largest office building in Arizona.

Downtown Phoenix looks so amazing. I never knew that it was such a big city in the desert. Lots of restaurants, museum, historic buildings and hotels. Great views and wonderful information. So interesting about part of the Psycho movie being filmed at that location. Also nice narration. Thanks for taking us around.

Growing up in AZ, Phoenix was the first big city I had ever been in, and I remember how exciting it was when we ever went to downtown Phoenix - as a kids those skyscrapers were so amazing to me!! 🏙
This area of downtown phoenix is very clean and has so much to see and do. Lot's of art and statues to check out. It's a place to explore.

Very pleasant walk through the downtown area of Phoenix. It was one of my stops on my first road trip to the US. We did not explore too much as our night here coincided with torrential rain. The city does look really great. Have a wonderful day.
