You probably got the best tutorials on UA-cam mate. Your style is actually really great, straight forward and simple. No life story as to why you bought the bike and why you want to do the mods lol. I don’t even have a Honda but liked watching your videos man. Keep it up.
Wow that is some high praise, thanks very much mate! I've been struggling to find motivation to do more videos ever since the lockdown but I'll keep it up :)
hi mate, Ive subscribed and binge watched all your 3 videos. ;-) can we have a service video? your quality AND clarity of videos is 2nd to none! English Biker Dan has got some serious competition! LOL
Thanks for the awesome video it was very clear I used it to guide my tail tidy installation. Got one from Ali express but it’s helpful especially the part on disconnecting and taking out the wires.
Hey, great few videos so far. I cant get my hands on a free cb650r service manual, id like to know how hard a procedure changing the front indicators would be (after market ones). The rear ones are already kinda covered in this video you made, thanks alot. Maybe its an idea for a video if you are in the mood. /Cheers
Check this out: 650f.bike/threads/2014-service-manual.100/ It's not for the CB650R but the model before it however it's very similar! Thanks for the front indicators suggestion, I'll look into it!
The underneath of the tail tidy looked decidedly second hand. Was it? Have you ridden in the rain yet to see if you get splattered up the back by a rooster tail?
It's because I refitted the stock tail to shoot this video; I've had the R&G tail tidy on it for about six months now :) There is some tradeoff when it comes to getting splattered, but if it's raining or wet I tend to wear full waterproofs anyway so it's not the worst! I think the improved looks more than makes up for it though
I have since upgraded to a Mustard Bikes Tail Tidy, the best looking one on the market in my opinion. Manufactured by a small team of guys in Tasmania, AU. Send Mark an email and he'll be more than happy to help! With shipping and taxes it cost me about £120.
I've wanted to attach usb charger without having to go to my dealer. The job itself isn't too difficult but I can't seem to find suitable aftermarket option (one that uses the cables "hidden" in sidefairing) with the exception of honda genuine charger, which costs 40 pounds and for that I'd be able to get it done at the dealer anyways. Are there any alternatives or am I forced to be overcharged for a piece of plastic if I want to go the usb charger under seat route?
I think this is what you're talking about: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Cigarette-Socket-Lighter-Plug-Power-Adapter/383471412335?hash=item5948ad646f:g:yEcAAOSwnTBedJON You just need to solder two wires to the battery and you're golden! :) It won't have the mount holes like the Honda charger, but I'm sure you could create a bracket on the cheap.
My tracker broke and like you the dealer fitted it under the seat... The tracker engineer came and said thats a big no no so he fitted the new one rewired it and it's now sitting under the tank... Just a tip... Good video by the way however I'm looking to remove the side panels on a 2021 model (They're different)
@@RAFHonda yeah I’m just pondering a tail tidy, I definitely think it Improves the look though. I think if I do decide on getting one I’ll get the dealer to fit it, I’m not that confident.
@MR CB650R Believe in yourself! There's not too much that you can do wrong with a job like this, I think you'd surprise yourself with how easy these bikes are to work on. Let me know how you get on 👍
That's my only gripe with the smaller tail tidies; you do get considerably more spray from the road in poor weather :/ I always wear waterproof textiles anyway so I don't mind :)
Get another tail tidy than this one guys, the R&G one is one of the worst looking out of all of them. - A CB650R owner with R&G tail tidy(cause there was nothing else at that time)
I agree, unfortunately when I got this bike there wasn't much choice when it came to tail tidies, and so I had to go with the R&G one. I've since fitted a Mustard one and it's considerably nicer looking.
SHITTY tail - i have similar one- all mud and wet will end up on your back and helmet thru that hole in the tail... :( i had to do DIY mod to block that open space with some plastics...

dude bravo, this is the best tutorial I’ve ever seen!! you just earned your 400th sub✌️😉
Why have you not made more videos, definitely the best I've seen in tutorials on modifications for the CB650R. Please keep up the great videos!

Excellent video mate. Nice one
great, i am subscribing your channel
will get my cb650r in few weeks
Great job, can't wait to see your next project for the CB650R.
Many thanks! Any suggestions?
@@RAFHonda I'll be happy for anything CB650R related. If you go with Akra w/o the cat, then maybe consider the PAIR system removal.
Awesome! Much more clear than the instruction's. Cheers!
What lever brand are you using? Link anyone? Appreciated
Have you ridden on the wet as I've seen some reports that water can get into the back light with this on.
salut quand tu roules sous la pluie, comment ça se passe il te protége quand même ou tu es trempé?
where did u get the number plate adapter, u have a link?
How does it hold against water splash in rain?
Great tutorial - very clear!
Dude, these are Awesome Videos, not cut on every important step !
Do you think these CB650R videos might also work on CBR650R ?
Definitely! From the engine back, the CBR650R is essentially the same bike!

Hi, I have purchased a 2021 CBR650R. The tail tidy is different than previous models. Will you be doing a video for this model? Great video by the way
I would love to see a review of the cb650r
Great suggestion, thanks!

Nice tutorial, no complaints with that, but is there a better looking tail tidy that you know of which is as easy to fit?

Excellent vid. I did notice some flaking on the tail tidy, was that how you received it from R&G.
Many thanks! That's my fault; it was pristine when new but I've been so indecisive with tail tidies and I've removed it several times.
