    Another sign of psychological abuse is the use of cell phones in the presence of the individual; because it shows that they don’t care about the residents but themselves. Also, another risk factor could be individuals that have personal health problems that cause them to act differently.

    Gaslighting is a horrible thing for anyone to have experience but to do it to someone with dementia or alzheimer's is just despicable.

    Neglect in residential care settings, are often because of overworked underpaid staff,with too limited time to care for the elderly. Who is really to blame here ( mostly)

      You’re absolutely right neglect in residential care settings is often a systemic issue tied to overworked and underpaid staff. When caregivers are stretched too thin and lack proper support, it’s nearly impossible for them to provide the level of care the elderly deserve. Addressing this requires increased funding, better staff to resident ratios, fair wages, and adequate training to ensure both staff and residents are supported effectively.
