Thanks for the video, but your explanation of the sustain pedal is wrong. This pedal raises all the dampers off the strings so that they keep vibrating after releasing a key.
@@MangoldProject Seeing critique, praising it and even pinning it to make it more visible shows an almost unheared of level of integrity 😅 Anyways, great video. I'll try this to make learning chords more fun - Thanks!
Absolutely perfect. I see a lot of tutorials where they get lost in abstract never-ending dialogue making everything overly complicated and repeating everything too much. I was looking for a chord progression to play some relaxing sounds and you did it. It was clearly presented and at the right pace. Works in any key. Thank you.
Thank you so much sir.... I have been following you for 3 years now and your videos have always been helpful.🙏🙌 I love it when your cat shows up during the lessons 😄💜.
I started teaching myself piano just 3 months ago, I’m 47!, lol found your channel today and subscribed as I love the content and can see it will help me on my piano journey.😊
I really appreciated the combination of practical and theory. I can wrap my brain around this. I also love it that you said play what I love to hear! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the amazing arpeggio it is so beautiful I played many years ago and now back to the piano And now I found you Thank so much Sir I love the way you explain everything My Love to you and Thanks again Sincerely Barbra U K x
Definitely had to subscribe! I'm a beginner and I've been watching MIDI tutorials to learn my favorite songs from soundtracks and although I learn them eventually it can be a frustrating process. I realized I'd learn much more in the long run if I don't skip corners and learn some foundational things that I can use to learn faster without as much hassle, and this is exactly what I needed!
Just ran into your channel with this tutorials! Wow! What a blessing! I have learned so much just in this video! I'm a a newbie! Thank you so much You are a Great teacher! Many blessings !🙏
I am a 66 year old beginner. Love this tutorial. Thank you. Going to try this . Great exercise to get my left and right hand side of my brain and hands to try and work together. A new on practicing scales. 👍
I'm so glad I found your channel. Even though I was totally blown away since I was a Noobie in the first video, you've helped me become more musical. And that had been a problem my whole life. Merci beaucoup.
Luckily subscribe to ur channel, I played Guitar for more than 15yrs but was zero in Piano n now shifted to beautiful Piano starting from the basic A , Thanks for the lessons 👍
Bravo maestro... I watched gust half of video, don't have time (job)... but You are one of the best teachers in the world that I found on the net. Person that understands, and know how to explain to the others... that is very important... Excellent lessons, You can be proud on Yourself. Thank You
I came across this and thought I would give it a listen. It was very beautiful and relaxing and I love the 6ths, always have. I will start practising all the chords using your ideas, not boring like just playing chords. I’m glad that both hands were engages. Thanks.
Thanks so much. By just mentioning to resolve to a chord tone, you added so much meaning to Improvisation. Listened to hundreds of videos on improvisation, but no one mentioned this simple but very powerful rule of thumb. 👍
Thankyou from New Zealand ….you taught me to travel around the circles of fifths , years ago , simply by moving a finger or two … progressed me , ten fold and now I read intermediate level but slow.
Your practice piano lessons are awesome and so easy and elaborate that anyone can follow. Thank you very much for your kind and helpful tutorial which helped me a lot.
Excellent video and well explained. I tried to teach myself the piano when I retired and your video has help inspire me to get back to it.... thank you.
You are a very good teacher. I am now in a learning curve where I want to learn to play just exactly the type of chord progressions and improvised melody that you are demonstrating in this video. Thank you for making your lessons so easy to understand.
Great how the side chart ( treble clef and bass ) shows up also ! Piano keynotes EACH light up also for us to know exactly which chords or keynotes played! That helps!

I normally don't write comments but watching a lot of piano tutorials for beginners you have one of the best tutorials the way you explain timing and how to play the chords excellent especially when you explain how to play staccato
With this lesson. It summarized what I want to learn and that is to use my ear and not be stuck with the music sheet. But I have to admit it takes some work and time. Thank you !
