You did not show how to add a purchase or sell transaction. I appreciate you reading about it but not helping the confusion. Would you add a video especially for purchase to enter the cost basis because that is the biggest capital gain problem on the tax report. Thank you

Hi, Manual transactions will work the same way for all exchanges. In our help article (help.koinly.io/en/articles/3664156-how-to-add-transactions-manually) we have additional videos to show instructions on how to create different types of manual transactions. If I have misunderstood your question, please connect with our support team at (support@koinly.io)
If the transactions are logged in your regular Binance act, then they can be synced to Koinly via API when you set up the Binance integration. If they are in a separate account and it cannot be synced with Koinly yet, then you should be able to export those transactions via CSV and import them into Koinly.
I have a question about adding a MetaMask ETH wallet manually. I have a separate sheet for my transactions on MM and using Koinly for exchanges only. I do not want to sync or upload a CSV. I am trying to update Koinly with my MM ETH address manually to show me sending crypto between my own wallets. Right now they are titled as a withdrawal and when I edit 1 transaction manually and select MM ETH wallet it only updates that 1 transaction. Is there a way it could populate the rest of my transfers associated with that wallet automatically or do I have to do each one.
Love these vids. So whenever you buy a crypto it SHOULD creates a Buy and a Withdrawal transaction? And if one is missing we should manually add that transaction?

When should we use koinly? Like during the tax season? I plan on not buying anymore crypto til I get my understanding of how taxes work so I can manually record my transactions because on some of the wallets and exchanges I can’t download the history or there’s no csv file. Please help!
You can purchase a Koinly plan whenever its time to do your taxes. Before that, you can use Koinly free of charge to keep records of your transactions/gains & loses and much more!
@@koinly thanks for the response. I just have trouble fixing errors on the free version of koinly. I need to learn how to make csv files with your tutorials
Hi. With the manual transactions added into Koinly, which date do I type in, the date the transaction actually occurred in the wallet I'm sending from or the date I put the transaction into Koinly? Thanks.
Hello Nelly, thanks for the amazing software and I'm loving it. Can you please help me with something? I live in Canada and WealthSimple does not have an API interface and i must enter everything manually!! The Issue is can you please help me with explaining the data entries for WealthSimple and your software. If you make a video, i would really appreciate it Thank you in advance for your help in this matter
Can you do a video on changing the cost base of a purchase. I did some swing trading (never again) and the cost base is all messed up of a few transactions.
Hi Nelly. Would you please be able to help. I am trying to add open transactions/trades crypto from etoro using your csv custom file. I am not sure which one to use and I am not able to get my head around pls. I am long term hodl. Etoro only imports deposits in USD but not open orders. Please can you help what to input sample. Thank you
Thanks again! You used you own account. How did you go about deleting it afterwards. I am reasonably comfortable with excel, but I am taking baby steps with koinly... plus I'm old!
This is an awful lot of work to do when your software should be doing this automatically - I have had nothing but troubles getting the .csv from bscan and binance to work and when they do show up the transactions still are messed up and if imported from an API you can't override them to change them.
Hey there, you shouldn't be having any problems, so apologies for that. Can you please contact our support team so we can see how we can help: koinly.io/contact/
Nelly, could you do a video addressing double data. If you import a cvs file does this override the api information? Or does artificial intelligence know that you have two lots of data from the same source? If you add something manually because you cannot sync with an api, does koinly track this automatically when this asset is transferred to binance for example. Is it advisable to keep parallel records in excel or Google sheets? Sorry if these seem like stupid questions!
We recommend using one import method (CSV files or API) in one wallet to avoid duplicate transactions. If you import a CSV file into an API - synced wallet, it may cause duplicates. And vice versa. Manual transactions will also be duplicated if Koinly finds the same record on the blockchain or f you import CSV files with the same data. That's why I would recommend adding manual transactions only if CSV files or API didn't catch this information. By doing so, you will ensure that the transactions imported are unique.
You charge me 200 per year and all I get is a video of how I do the work you're not able or willing to. The KSM and DOT parachains are live for over a year and no integration happened. And I got the feeling they never will
This is a poor substitute for missing development on koinly. The average user does not want to pay much money for a plan and afterwards spend hours with spreadsheets. It seems there is no professional attitude or just missing means there. Sorry but thats the disappointing truth. How many people can do it really fast this way?

This method appears like it wont pickup any fees in the transactions? Is there any way to do this?
You can factor in the fee when you are setting the worth. Just subtract it from the total
Does deposit means buy?
Does withdraw mean sell?
Deposit means flowing into account withdrawal means removal from account
