Secretly they want to sell him to fund big signings like Nico Williams, etc. I foresee another transfer window where they are going to sit and wait for things to happen in order not to dig deep into their own pockets. That means that the fans are in for yet another anxious transfer window that will result in emergency below-par buys being made and they will most probably be coming out with annoying and clumsy press statements that will state that they have been tracking the player for a very long time and that many big clubs were in for them.
We paid 35m for salah, hes been top goalscorer and top assister so many times. Owes us nothing. If he runs his contract down and leaves for free, we have hardly lost any money ?? I agree if theres a 100m on the table it could be worth taking. But how much is 20 goals and 20 assists worth to us this coming season ?

If things are quiet, it doesn't mean that negotiations are not on track. The club doesn't broadcast every conversation that they have with players. I find speculation and rants during the transfer window boring, even irritating, because, in the end, very little of what is speculated about actually happens. I prefer to wait and see and spare myself a lot of unwarranted stress in the process. 😃

Never once, in public, or have we heard in private - Mo express his desire to leave Liverpool. The man has been a model of consistency, excellence, success, professionalism, and impeccable work ethic since he’s joined Liverpool.
He hasn’t gone running to Saudi for the riches like Hendo, Fabinho, or Bobby.
Has never had any off the field concerns or controversies.
Most importantly, has been the best player in the premier league for 6-7 years now, alongside KDB.

Have read all the comments and to me cannot believe how many people seem to miss the point in which Craig was meaning, Craig has always defended Salah, said what a player he has been for our club, but it's because of our cheap owners who humm and agghh over transfer fees over £35 million, i feel Craig is just saying because of this we should of cashed in on Mo last year rather than let him leave for free, if we were owned by Man City of Newcastle owners it's not a izsue, but we're not. And the usual £40 million transfer budget is not going to get us any nearer to the two clubs who finished above us.
