For me personally, I see her as one of the strongest women to grace planet earth. Even though her struggle was due to a great injustice of America at the time. She should be seen as one of the strongest women not just in African American history but in American history period. Her fortitude should be an inspiration for all people.

Omg, that is great and your three year old will know the fiber of his or her roots. It is amazing that your 3 year old will get to know a great Shero as she! Harriet was an awesome supreme being and angel ordained by God himself. I will definitely be going to see the new Harriet Tubman movie in all of it’s accounts of what took place with her and the slaves during that era! This movie is definitely coming during the right time in history where so many of us don’t and have forgotten who we are and where we come from.

Here, in Iowa, we were a state where Harriet Tubman brought her escaped slaves. That were welcome. We still have instilled laws in our law books from like what 1776/1876 not sure if I remember the actual years. But when Harriet brought them to Iowa we have in our law that all black people in Iowa of being escaped slaves are guaranteed housing, education, health care, and clothing.
