I remember going to the races watching my father when I was a very young lad in the late 70s . It was an asphalt track. Ed has probably heard of the track and possibly run on it. I believe it is called Lancaster speedway in Lancaster New York. Back then it didn't cost much money to build a racecar and go to the tracks. I guess today building a racecar is just as expensive as a home mortgage 😢
@@BarryTsGarage Lol...no doubt. I knew Flathead guru Dave Tatom and he built many 60's . I forget the exact numbers, but he said they could make over 100 HP when properly built. He sold them mostly to boat racers. Had a whole barn full of them when he passed.
WITH ❤....ED I. HAVE A 1970.350. OUT OF MY MONTY HOW WOULD I SROCK IT 396. LIKE THE ENGINE YOU BUILD WITH THE 3 INCH HILLBORN KIT .....THANKS ED YOU ARE ONE GOOD MAN LIKE MY DAD...❤....

The Ford V-8 60 had 60 horse power from the factory... hence the name.
Used in all kinds of racing...from midgets to boats.
Haha - it probably FELT like 30 horsepower to Ed at the time. You are so right 👍

I live 1/2 hour from Bryan Ohio. (Henry County) I spent the afternoon there a few days ago visiting with cousins.
