Any good tips???
Update: I got it on the trampoline finally!!!
I have always been scared to even do it on tramp. How did you get over it?
yea how'd you get it on trampoline!!
on the trampoline i would bend backwards like i was doing a bridge and then jump onto my hands from there. as i got better, i bent back less and less until i got it!
Catarina Mason try doing back walk overs and put a slight jump into it every time and then try with your feet together that’s what helped me :)
Savanna Baker THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HELPED ME GET IT BACK OMGG 💖🥺
Your video really helped my daughter! Thanks!
I have a competition in 5 days and I’m supposed to throw my level 4 skills and I can’t even throw a round off handspring or a standing handspring
THATS ME RIGHT NOW IN THE SAME SITUATION
I watch this video every time I have a block and it helps EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!😂
I’m trying to get my back tuck and I feel like I can do it but I am just to scared😕
jess Mckay samw
i always get mental blocks about a year ago i had perfected my standing 2 backhand springs i was on the trampoline with my friend and i just couldn’t go like it wouldn’t happen. i finally did it again today! i kept doing it and got confidence with it. i went back to do it around 30 mins ago but it happened again. i can’t go and i get mental blocks all the time. i could have had so many skills at this point but my brain gets to me. any tips?
This helped so much thank you. I was on a J1 team last year and now I'm on J2. I always have mental blocks for back handsprings since i just got over my block on back walkovers.
I have tryouts soon and I’m literally so scared bc I can’t do my round off bhs Bc I’m so scared to and I don’t know how to connect crap :/
omg same i have had a mental block of a year on the same skill and i need tips
Like I am trying to do a aerial and every time I put my hands down even though I keep trying to tell myself I can do it. And I don’t have a spot right now bc I am waiting to find a good gym to go to. Any tips?
This is a while later but I’m afraid of hurting my self in a standing backhandspring even though I have done it so many times on an air track I need tips
It’s the fact that I’m not scared but I just can’t go back I don’t understand
you should do a bag tag collection video!
aka.abby that's a great idea!!
I didn't realize this would be about tumbling, but I watched anyway. I did gymnastics decades ago, and I remember the blocks. I agree with what you're saying. Best of luck to you.
i've had my roundoff back handspring tuck for a while now, but i'm always scared of it. once i do my back handspring, i feel like i can't physically do the tuck. i can do it, i just feel like i literally can't. i've bailed a few times and landed on my back, and that has made the block so much worse. i've done it so many times, but it's terrifying still. everyone always says once u go for a skill it's not scary anymore, but that's not what it's like with me. during my backtuck, my coach won't spot me for the first one or stand there like she used to anymore. i didn't do it today bc i was scared and i feel like my coach is giving up on me now. i just don't have the confidence to do it anymore. my mom is disappointed in me too, and idk how to get over this block. it's the worst feeling ever. ive had it for a year, and i dont think its ever gonna go away.
if u read this whole thing liy
Ik this was a year ago but I’m going through the same thing with my round off back handspring tuck, I used to be able to do it perfectly but then quarantine hit and I just lost the skill. It’s the worst feeling. I hope you got yours! I’m hoping I can get mine before high school
@@mist6908 hey!! omg i completely forgot i wrote this, but i have it now and im not scared at all anymore :) just never give up bc the time will come and u will get it! just think abt what your scared of and ask your coach for help! i dont remeber what specifically got me over my mental block, but just continue to work it dw u will get it :)
@@iloveu2770 Thank you! I hope I do get it
Thank you this really helped
I’m on a level 5 team and have been bailing recently and now I’m scared and only have a week to get over it
Omg this video actually helped me so much thank you soooo much I now feel way less nervous and now I have a bunch of tips to always think about. Thank youuuuuuuuuu soooooooooo much :)
OMG YOUR GOING TO COLLEGE 😱
I have been scared to do running tumbling ever since i slightly dislocated my kneecap doing a standing back hqndspring a week before competition
I just got my round off back tuck and I felt so relieved after getting it except I overthink it sometimes and sometimes I just don’t trust my muscle memory even though I know how to do it
I love the way she speaks so fast like omg I wanna speak like that too
Are you cheering in college?
Dacy Marie I'm gonna try out in April to cheer my sophomore year so hopefully!!
I am struggling with my LV 6 pass cuz I don’t think I can do it but I have done it befor
Great video Brooke! Mental blocks can be very complicated. My favorite tip is to "relieve your stress." Thanks for sharing your story.
Point of break off with you and all connected persons.
Are you still cheering
Rachel Major yes!
Ok thanks
Are you still at champion
Kelly Brickner yes! My university happens to be pretty close to champion so I'm "super senioring"
I keep blocking on my aerial and I keep automatically putting my hand down. Any ideas?
Hi idk if you are still having this problem, but I’m a gymnast and I used to have this problem so here is what I did:
Keep doing it over and over somewhere where you can do it (maybe off a mat or on tumble track) this will make your muscle memory stronger. Just keep trying it but eventually if you do it enough your brain will forget that you are scared
Hope this helped
@@katiek6156 ok thanks! I am still having this problem, but right now I have a knee injury so I got to wait a hot minute before I can practice again. I have tried for hours, and I am doing it off a mat. Would it be better to do it on a mat that is flat on the ground?
@@clara449 for me, I did it off of a panel mat onto the ground so like a raised surface basically. That helps because you start with more height
@@clara449 when I did mine I just kept doing it off of a panel mat and off of the end of the tumble track and eventually I moved it back onto the floor and now they are super consistent
@@katiek6156 cool! Thanks. Also where do my arms go? I can’t seem to figure it our
I'm on a level 4 team and I had all my tumbles and then lockdown happened and I lost everything and I went to practice and everyone was throwing their tumbles and I was just frozen. It's so hard😫
