  • The pectineus and its brethren (add. brevis and longus) are common culprits of anterior thigh pain, quad weakness, anterior testicular and labial pain in patients with tight groins, as it causes a problem I have named pectineo-femoral pinch syndrome, which is positional compression of the nerves that emerge under the inguinal ligament.
    Groin tightness is common in patients with high stress (due to groin clenching), or patients with hip impingement (due to weak hip stabilization). mskneurology.com/pectineo-fem...
    Patients with pectineus injury, eg., hyperabduction or sports injuries should not be stretching. They should be strengthening. Discernment between the two is generally rendered based on clinical history, exact symptoms, and triggers. Do not stretch an injured muscle.

    I’ve spent years having the same issues with low back pain, tingle in big toe, hip pain, psoas tightness/pain.. all when bending the hips and coming back. I researched on the website you mentioned and I found this to be the first thing that truly described my symptoms. I hope now I have this pinpointed and can start fixing this issue.

Would really appriciate your help since this severley affects my athletic life and partly daily life as well. Thank you so far for a informative channel

    If we have a tight pec minor, is it still safe to bench press assuming scapular kinematics are sufficient and there is no worsening of CVH symptoms? Or is it rare for CVH symptoms to NOT occur in patients with an overly tight pec minor after benching?

    Could we do this stretch more than 2-3 x per week? Especially if it's providing immediate symptom relief.

    • @Cristi05_
      @Cristi05_ 8 місяців тому

      stretch for more as much as you are capable of. Also try to not sit as much throughout your day because that is what is inducing the tightness.
