Especially loved the arrangement (is it one? Always thought "remix" doesn't really fit chiptune) of Last Goodbye. Amazing work; I really do love it so much.
Honestly i'm not into Undertale but i do understand why it got a cult following, if i'm not mistaken one of the reasons is the deep meaning of the story and the characters. someday i'll tackle FM instruments and make beautiful songs like this one, but i'm still a beginner, i still have a lot to learn and a lot of PCE songs i wanna finish. nice cover.
You're pretty much right on the money with that guess. If you'll forgive my short gushing, I can't think of any other game with characters that I so strongly wish really existed. I was kinda the same way with a lot of shows I grew up with as a child, and to have that feeling in me rekindled at age 17 is really special to me. Also, good luck with those PCE songs! :D
Yep i think the one factor on games like Undertale is that they have characters with backstories that actually make you care about them, thus making a memorable game in that regard and yeah the same can be applied to other media like animation shows since they're esencially story telling. Thanks, i actually had a dream were i discovered a kinda brilliant piece of composition for an original song. i also figured out how to use samples and they work great. unfortunately i'm having issues with my PC to make a video showing what i've done so far but i guess i'll just keep working on what i have in the meantime, whenever i get the time for it. oh and thanks again for telling me about the wavetables.
It's got very remarkable personality to it, not like a Genesis-style remix, but like.. if it had been on the Sega back in the day, instead of on PCs in the day and age it did. Maybe that makes sense, who could say~
Sure. I haven't uploaded the project file for the most recent version, but DefleMask does contain an early version of that song as a demo track. You can export a WAV or VGM file from that.
