- A TV crew is filming a wilderness survival show when they get get wrapped up in a secret Ninja plot.
I chipped away at this brickfilm for about one year back in 2012-2013 when I was in university. This is just one of many Lego stop-frame animations (aka brickfilms) I've created. I do most of the voices or get my friends to voice characters. You can find more brickfilms (and Ninjas) on my channel.

This is quality content on UA-cam, and one of the BEST brickfilms ever created. It's amazing to see how Lego can create such awesome, nostalgic, and classic films. The set was really cool and innovative (Loved how you made the trees and grass btw). The awesome lighting gave the film character, an was overall unique to most other brickfilms. You did an excellent job on the voice acting!(also really funny). This was a really nice animation, and hope you continue receiving lots of compliments! Btw what was the music and sound FX you used? Did you make it your self? Hmmmmmm.
Thank you!! That's one of the nicest comments ever. I'm amazed it's still getting views and comments despite how long ago I uploaded it. About the sound effects, I used a sound library for the sfx and music called 'Sound Ideas'.
@@MotiveCap Woooah, thanks for replying man!!! Means a lot. Have you been thinking of any up coming major projects like this one?👀. But seriously, that was thoughtful and nice of you to reply :-). Thx alot man, keep up the good work!
@@allysonkuhn8524 Hey, no problem! Glad you enjoyed it. I have a few ideas floating around for stop frame animations using other materials besides lego! I keep making brickfilms in the meantime though.
@@MotiveCap Cool! So happy you're trying out new things with stop motion. That would be interesting. I've always thought about different genres other than lego. Hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed watching it! Also... WATCH OUT for those NINJA!!!
I agree with this comment
It's been 10 years since this classic dropped. Oh, how the time flies
Nice, dude!
First, after 8 years but first.
"do not enter, super secret ninja stuff inside"
awesome, man!
dude how is a stop motion from 11 damn years ago better than most of the ones you see today, great sound quality, musical choice, voice acting, etc. where did people's talent go man
Appreciate your comment! I think part of it was UA-cam was more of a novelty back then, less videos and more room to experiment. Stop motion animation was also having a moment :)
i remember watching this as a kid a few days before Christmas and would always give me a weird type of hype vibe not to mention i would sometimes re watch it so this really stood out to me in part of my childhood thank you motivecap...
I'm happy to hear that dude, thanks for watching :)
I came here to watch a serious brickfilm.
IT’S AWESOME
Cool, I'm glad you asked. I got all of that stuff from the dollar store. The trees are made out of styrofoam balls; I painted them green; cut pieces of bamboo, and stuck them in the balls (sticking wood in balls, hmm...). Anyways, the foliage is made up of plastic leaf pieces; I pulled them apart and stuck them to the styrofoam as well. The grass is Astroturf; the sky and mountains are bristle-board paper; it took a month to put together the set.
This is glorious, brings me back to 2014, you know, the good ol days.
I remember when this video said posted 1 minute ago #Memories
Blaze Animation.
I remembed when it said posted 3 seconds ago
Blaze Animation. I’m dead
I decided to rewatch this for old times sake and let me just say this is one of the funniest brick films I have ever seen the animation has held up really well have a good day
Kind words, thank you :)
Is this how to build the samurai ninja ?
1) head from lucius malfoy 2000s
2) white mask from zane in ninjago 2011
3) storm trooper pants from 2000s
4) cyan katana from technic set
I luv them combination, so damn iconic.
Congrats, you found the recipe :P
I love the flame effect coming from the lighting inside the temple in the shot at the beginning. Works well with the Samurai-Ninja theme
It was 7 years ago that this video was uploaded and when I watched it as a kid. The nostalgia is real
Laughed so hard at the minefield scene at 8:47
I didn’t even know what was going on half the time. But I still enjoy this video to this day.
Are you kidding me, this is the best Lego animation I've ever seen
I remember watching theese a lot when I was 6, my entire UA-cam homepage were theese lego animations, so nostalgic! feels great to come back to this masterpiece I really liked this video as a kid and I still like it now! dope ass film man
Glad you liked it, and happy that something I made is nostalgic for ya :)
I honestly forgot how well made this was. It holds up incredibly well in 2023. You should make one last ninja animation 🥲
This is a masterpiece that I feel is severely underrated
Not even 1mil views, people are too busy watching clickbait garbage instead of quality stuff like this!
The set designs are amazing!
I love the usage of old lego!
The lego ninja line was one of my favorites...
I always revisit this vid
Oh and the stop motion is great!
Very kind of you, and thanks for your comment. UA-cam definitely does feel different these days. The old pieces of Lego are nostalgic for me, some are from old sets I had when I was a kid.
so much good work
+Brick Dictator Well thank you!
Hi brick dictator I love your vids
Brick Dictator Love ur vids
Wow it's the stop motion legend
I was the voice of Scott. Be jealous, everyone!
Go, Matt! This was an awesome follow-up!
FINNALLY I've been SEARCHING for this and now I finally found it
So glad this theme still continues on with lego ninjago in 2023
Kind of, he's based off of the hosts of wilderness-shows/survival-shows like man vs wild and survivor-man.
You vs wild
My childhood is back 🥰🥰🥰
You noticed this?! Haha, Mega blocks... I know right? Sometimes they don't even click in properly.
I know, he's an outcast Ninja that studied "the way of the Samurai"; then later he became a Terrorist... also, it's Lego, I was just having fun :P
"I have a brother back home who recently want his pool filled with it"
Wait, brian's brother is mr CEO big stonk ?
Wow 11 years ago I wonder if that guy is still around. I don't think he does now but I respect that. Many stop motion animaters just stop one day and some come back. Still amazing this still is getting views even when this is not a popular channel.
I remember watching this a long time ago, still one of the best brickfilms
Nice work. Incredible lighting
Thank you :)
Soooo good! Amazeballs 5000 ;)
After so many years, coming back to this is so special!! For me, this video is a classic and it really inspired and continues to inspire me. Thank you so much for making this :)
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Amazing, I would love to see a comeback of all the characters and see more from their stories. Like the old sensei and the white ninja, and the mysterious ninja clan in general. The world of motivecap has such interesting characters I would love to see more of them. Btw all of your Lego brickfilms are awesome and great, hope you don't leave for a while.
Thanks, that's so kind of you.
“Now please absorb this lead!” Lol
Someone give this guy a job, he deserves the hell out of it!
If made a top 10 brick films, this probably would be number 1.
Will forever be a good video I remember from my childhood
There's a difference between Ninja, and the Samurai.
Yeah samurai is way cooler
This was an awesome movie! Great work!👍
Thank you :)
@@MotiveCap no problem :)
This is such a hi quality animation for the time it came out if I had seen this in 2013 It would have blown my 6 year old mind!
Even tho I'm 18 now, I watched this non stop as kid
The good old days

Thanks dude, the all the VO dubs were done last summer.
Amazing! I just started by stop motion campaign
Thank you so much :)
make more of these AWESOME vids! oh yea, did I say they were AWESOME!
Nice job, good animation and I love your lightning.
awesome awesome brickfilm
I saw mega blocks...hells no. Other than that, best Brickfilm I've seen so far!
Probably one of the top 5 lego animations on youtube right next to "Battle of the Brick: Built for Combat", and "The Magic Portal". So good that I'd say that it is as good if not better than most hollywood productions. Also the Mega Bloks at 6:45, those are from Legends King Arthur right? Love those old sets.
Too Kind! I can't remember which set those mega bloks came from, they did have some neat pieces in there.
@@MotiveCap I think it was from the
Lamorak: Beast Slayer set
The thing that got me was when the guy said yo ninja what's up? And the ninja said not much LOL and bro fist
Wow this is one of my favourite lego videos of all time, you're so under rated man
The animation was really smooth, and that was a very creative use of lighting as well. I enjoyed this very much. Good job.
BEAST VIDEO !!!!!!
My childhood 😍♥️
This is a good example, why I'd like to still be able to rate in Stars. The video truly has it's fine moments, but still I am not all happy with it.
Thanks :)
I loved this video
Actually, I didn't know that! I just clipped them in place to keep the swords from moving during the animation process.
Wow good job! The countless hours sure did produce a great result.
i love that movie !
