- I bought this '91 Samurai as a Bone stock truck back in September 2010, and worked my butt off to make it what it is today. I used the best of everything available, or built my own, to make a rig that can hang with the big boys. I turned the stock ratted out brown interior to a black, functional, show quality cockpit. The whole tub is LineX coated, and I had the Front Bumper sprayed as well. I painted the exterior a cream white enamel, then covered it in Realtree Hardwoods Snow camofluage from CamoClad. The motor is the stock 1.3l with fuel injection, but I added a K&N air filter, Pacesetter long tube header with Flowmaster 44 muffler, a GM alternator, and freshened up the entire motor with new seals, electronics, hoses, timing belt, water pump, and everything else you'd do to a 20 year old vehicle to make sure it was in tip-top shape. I coil lifted the entire truck to clear the 33" BFG Mud Terrain KM2's. Every part of the undercarriage was completely disassembled, reinforced, rebuilt, painted, and reassembled to make a worthy trail rig. The transmission was rebuilt, and the transfer case received a set of 6.5:1 crawl gears. This truck has been a blast to build, and I don't plan on stopping where it is now.

Greetings from Florence, Italy I own a 2001 Suzuki Jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3L petrol engine. All original that I use on dirt country roads. I also use it on farm and mountain tracks and on country roads when they are completely covered in snow! For me, the Suzuki Jimny is a good off-road vehicle which, due to its small off-road dimensions, is superior to the nissan patrol 4x4s which are limited mastodons in off-road compared to the Suzuki Jimny 4x4 which due to its small and compact size moves better off-road than any larger off-road vehicle such as the Land Rover Defender!

I don't personally like the camo, especially since it won't really work to camouflage it what with all the red detail. That said it's your truck so do what you please. Everything else is absolutely spot-on. A beautiful example of how it should be done. Great job on doing all the work yourself. Amazing effort.

This thing is beautiful that front bumper is really nice. when you first mentioned you should of said you built it cuz that bumper is something to be proud of. I was assuming that it was like a mall crawler and I wasn't too excited about watching it. but then at the end you said you have some wheeling vids, awesome!!. so I'm about to check those vids out.
Thats a well built Suzuki, they are called "Samurai" cause these little warriors are amazing and very capable. Very nice job. Hey i know its a long shot but in Puerto Rico these are a huge cult following theres a HUGE AFTERMARKET ,from extreme 4x4, mud drag,mud boggin,to even drag racing. Some guys go turbo on the original 1.3 some do the 1.3 DOHC swap from a suzuki swift, other go 1.6,1.8 or 2.0. So on your next vacation take a trip to tropical island of Puerto Rico no passport required. Peace

Well done my man. I have one the same white color - less the camo. I hope to get it up and panted this spring. It runs good, but has bad rings, smokes, and bad compression. Just the basic standard Zuk. Nice wheels and tires, I also have another Sidekick - blue. It has a bad crank. I have to do the work myself too. Once again, I love the job you did on your Zukie. Great job.! I hope you're not going to drive it through the mud, and up big rocks to tear it up.
Wow that sammy doesn't look bad at all. Boy not sure if I'd want to go wheelin with that, might scratch your paint. (Off the tires!!)

mines not more badass, but I have seen one that is it has barb wire on the custom bumper troll faces on the top spot lights 37" tires, and a spare gas tank on a safari rack with a indivisual susension and a turbo with a double carb in the engine, also a winch was fitted to the bumper with a tool box in the back.

Very nice Suzuki Samurai. See if you could do what I have done to my Suzuki Samurai it would be an unstoppable Mini truck, swap 1.6L engine and dual case extreme low like mine. Your Samurai looks awesome but has weakness small axles. I like the look though, thanks.

These are like my favorite kind of cars are my dad probably has 30 of them but I have one question how much would one this nice go for??? We also have a couple of Suzuki sidekick's and I have to say that your next 4x4 build should be a Suzuki sidekick with a lift kit because I have one that's freaking amazing. I can teach you how to do it the hillbilly way and only spend a couple hundred bucks. P.s I put a Suzuki samurai axle on the front of mine with the deferential lock. The downside is though if you have kids and you don't want them ending up getting crushed you will have to build a roll cage.
