Loose Ball Joint Adaptor on SPC UCA (install fault)

Here's a different kind of "ball joint" issue. In fact, the ball joint is fine -
it was replaced about half a year ago. The aftermarket adapter which is pressed into the spindle/hub, has worked it's way loose. I was lucky to find this before that snap ring gave way!
Now the entire spindle/hub needs to be replaced, along with a new adapter. I do not blame the manufacturer SPC for this, as there is clear evidence of damage on the adapter from the original press work (performed some years ago, by a shop since out of business).
