I didnt know about the brazil bottom trawl ban and im actually crying tears of joy. Fish populations going down and the deepwater coral reefs near brazil has been a major anxiety for me and this video helped me relieve some of thaf. Thank you oceana.

"Oceana is winning"? Take off a letter there friends, and come back to earth regarding your role in the world of marine protection...This is downright offensive to the large number of authorities, public officers, politicians, law makers, NGOs etc, who are working hard to push for more protection and more sustainable laws and practices around the world.

Hey man, theres a lot of shit organizations to get mad at. I think oceana isnt on that list or at least is on the very bottom so i think you should try getting angry at them instead of isolating one organization doing a video about some of the things they had a part in doing

I hear you. And I give you a point, because of Oceana is trying to push in the right direction. But, and this is a huge but, they are in the business of trust. And to mislead people in this way, doesn't cut it.
It would cost them literally NOTHING to portray the work that leads up to the mentioned "wins", in a correct way. Including their own role. But that is if you actually care about increasing Ocean literacy.

They are just trying to thank people for their contributions and let them know how they are providing impact and change. Goodness. They can't show a video on how it ALL HAPPENS. And any intelligent person knows it takes an army. I think it's just cool they created a quick video to educate on what's changed, period. And to entice and encourage us to keep supporting so more changes can be made. I also support WWF and other orgs - they all have people fighting with them to make changes. @@jonasgustafsson8135
