I'm barely able to do it on snow with my STi. I just can't imagine how insanely hard it would be to drift a RWD cart like this on the wet let alone with perfect angles like this. The Stig is such an absolute legend.
Collin really knew what a real sports car needed, and this one just shows how mature it got. In my opinion it really can't get better than this, because just shows past so many decades how update it still is. It's a real handful 👍
@@ThatPetrolPotterHead congratulations for your comment with no sense at all, maybe if you read english properly, you could understand that was collin chapman the father of lotus seven, that was bought by catheram. 🤣🤣
LOL, what near future? People will be driving ICE cars in 50 years time. You just won't able to buy brand new ones in the near future (10 to 20 years).
I don't like this lie about the HP per ton. First the 545kg are without Oil Gas and Driver. The absolute weight if you drive this car will be 700kg. And 700kg 315BHP are 450BHP per ton. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The 620 is just marketing🤦♂️

Yeah it is. It had a different plate before and it was blue. Then it got changed to yellow and registered with that plate to promote the Lego Caterham set back when it came out
drift is just a fancy name for skidding around the curve. any car with rear-wheel drive can drift because it tends to oversteer it is up to the driver the ability to control it by applying the correct pressure on the accelerator and turning around the corner at the same time.
@@renatoigmed they must at least be using different tires ....I never said it couldn't drift....I said It shouldn't be able to drift this well. The body is too light to maintain much inertia and the wheels have too much grip compared to the weight ....I think some suspension tuning and drift tire setup is being used
@@dhanu_4539 I think the only difference between a wet or dry track is that the drought uses more tires but it doesn't have much to do with the car's weight.
@@dhanu_4539 check out Autocar’s review of the 620R, I think it’s Steve Suttcliffe who’s driving the car. He manages to drift the catherham easily in the dry
The skill it takes to drift that car in wet conditions shouldn’t be underestimated. Amazing work, Stig!
Flipping awesome video in general!
I owned a Caterham for 11 years and 8 days. Wet or dry, drifting was simplicity itself, even I could do it, and pretty accurately too!
Yeh I hired the 620R at a Silverstone Track Day, it's a proper weapon. Lacks flat-out speed but I reckon I was 130+ on Hangar Straight
No it isn't simple. The most hard car to drift in the world. This means you didn't own it (11 yrs 9 seconds)
Stig Drifts: Lexus LFA
yes please.
This is just how every kid feels when they are driving a go kart
Kid? This is how I feel lmao
No that’s not how we feel although we would enjoy it as much as this lol
I just drove a go kart for the first time in my life felt more like an f1 car that a drift car tho 😅
Still drifted the flip out of it anyways lol

I love the way that car sounds. Nasty!!!
Love it when the Stig hits the rev limiter in the drift. Sounds awesome
Keep all your super/ hyper cars, this is my dream car! 😍😍😍😍

I wonder what exactly those tires feel like
Only in the UK is a cloudy damp day considered excellent weather.
Excellent for drifting

Dat suspension tho. It has 3 degrees of movement, even tho the road is a 2d surface.

Heavy Drift
Not bad
Yeah pretty good
open wheels are the best drift cause you see all the front axle parts move
Not sure if this has an exterior killswitch but…
Imagine ur driving and some jackass beside u just pulls the killswitch and puts it on ur hood
After playing Most Wanted 2013, I wanted a Caterham badly....
2:40 Stig's feet are like plaforms!! He must be wearing size 50 shoes!!!!
Hi feet aren't that big
Angles could be increased !
