I remember that or one like it but in the one I'm thinking of she had SIL charged with theft and sued her pants off. She didn't just eat the cost like this OP did. Guess which one I liked better? Even in Japan, in real life, a real business owner can't afford to just absorb the cost of replacing equipment even if it involves her brother's wife. MacAir texts is Japanese. In real life this OP would threaten to charge SIL, then drop the charges in return for a signed agreement for SIL to pay compensation. Sil would have to borrow money, go into debt to pay it, which could literally destroy her life.

Jayne was told about sils work from home more than once. And pretty much ruined her husbands income. and throwing out or selling her sils things including her work laptop and materials. Jayne should have been sued for all the income she caused them to lose and the things that had to be replaced.

Most of the time I don't understand the logic of an MC sell their house instead of kicking the person out. Sometimes it does make sense, but in my opinion, this is not one of them. I'm glad the parents bought the house. Occasionally they will have MCs have the house completely demolished instead even when it's not very old. To me, that makes even less sense. At least it makes these stories entertaining, which is why I like watching these videos!

why is that in laws think they have the right to make up rules and force others to do what they say? You don't become better than anyone just because you marry into a family
and whether its' a gaming laptop or for work or whatever of course she doesn't have the right to sell someone elses' things and of course that person is going to be upset!

I don't know how ANYONE can not understand what remote work is after living through an entire worldwide pandemic and numerous lockdowns??! Most of these stories could be so easily solved with communication, but talking to this Jane chick is like smacking your head up against a wall!! I dunno, maybe I just think these huge families where nobody ever leaves home and becomes truly independent are just kinda abnormal to me- I could never imagine living with the inlaws unless it was a huge freaking mansion with different wings or a duplex or something...ugh, and the brother has no spine at all- even his "escape" is a bit weasley lol, those two were not ready to get married AT ALLLLLL😂🙄

And with your job there is a big demand right how would 1 get into it and no I am not saying it's easy all jobs have pros and cons. I hated it when my ex would say that his job was harder than mine. It really pisses me off when someone moves into somebody else's house and act's like they own the freaking thing. GOOD LORD call the cop's on this nutjob for stealing your PERSONAL things. Those that don't work have NO grounds to badmouth anybody or call someone a freeloader when that is what they are. Ya NO WAY in hell would I have sold my house to Jayne's family.

7:00 "Bart, just ask your wife if she slept through the entire global pandemic. And if she says 'No,' then you can tell her to remember how ALL the offices went remote for a year? Well MY office is STILL remote, because it's cheaper to operate that way, and THAT is why I am able to live here, to take care of MY PARENTS, while still earning a GOOD living, doing my remote office job, at XYZ company, and she can CALL THEM to confirm my employment there, if she doesn't believe you or me, and thinks we're both lying to her. In fact, I suggest you sit her down at a computer, get on the internet, and MAKE HER LOOK UP MY COMPANY so that she knows it's the real deal, and not some fake account you or I have set up, just to shut her up. Let HER find the company information, and call them, directly, and you sit with her, while she asks to speak to HR, and asks them to confirm my employment with them."
That may be the only way to convince her.
"Oh, and Bart. I want her to pay me damages for defaming me to the neighbors."

It's common for siblings to have different accents when they grow up in different places. My siblings and I have different accents. They grew up in a different part of the country from where I live as we have different moms. People often acquire accents from where they grew up, not what accent their family have. The story didn't say if they grew up in different places especially if there is a large age gap between them or if one was adopted.

    • @krazycatz

Actually you can grow up in the same house with the same parents and still have different accents. I grew up in the USA in a suburb of Los Angeles California but many people often tell me I have an accent and ask me what country I’m originally from. If I had to guess how I came about having an accent I guess it would be because most of my friends had moved here from other countries and had to learn English as another language.
