One of a few tracks that transports me back to an exact moment. Saturday night in the Beat Hotel @ Glastonbury 2014, Jamie XX B2B John Talabot. Always come back to this. Taken on a whole other meaning
the fact that it can be material to great remixes like this, proves me once more, that The XX is a truly great band of my generation.

I used to hate all these remixes but after I've been forcing myself to check out Jamie xx's own stuff, all these other remixes have really been growing on me. Really good stuff.

Buy the first album, that one is truly fantastic. The 2nd one is also great, but I prefer the first one, you can hear that they had more time to make that one and so with a bit more feeling.

this is a way to connect the outside world into all of our human creations: thoughts, ego, emotions. the ultimate fantasy for humans is to have our emotions determine outside world. In reality this is not the case, the outside world is definitive and independent of your senses. Independent of your strongest desires. Only awareness and action can affect outside world. With a greater variety and selection of music freely available to us, we are able to build our own little bubble of emotion and ego and determine our senses and determine our outside world. this is why the freely available shit nowadays takes you away from reality. we make our senses our reality. When reality should be determining our senses.
The internet, for me, has possibly left me devoid of the human spirit. With the internet, you can create your own reality based upon what you want your senses to be. your senses and emotions become the world. Become your reality only because of your whim. This is not real. reality off of the internet is different. the world works the way it works. Information comes from the outside world into your senses and you just see what your senses see. and you are not the world. the internet convinces you that your emotions and senses and thoughts are the world because you can create anything. it takes all the fun out of life. In the near future, humans are going to have to make a tough choice as to what kind of world they want to live in. they can either see past your senses, remember they are not reality, and see into the outside world, or they can live with reality being in themselves. In their emotions and thoughts and senses. it is a choice and a habit as well.
i dont understand the problem of creating your own reality based on our own senses, i see that as a development. of course it always has side effects, "black mirror" shows it all. yet, what is the outside world if not everyone else's perspectives and actions taken based on these perceptions? music for me is medicine. it takes me away from certain aspects of this cruel world. i definetely do not want "reality" to be determining my senses. and i am very grateful to live in a time where culture is so dissiminated across the world, that every single day i can have something new to my ears.

Does anyone know the official digital release date for this and the Pearson Sound remixes that only came out on vinyl? I know Jamie xx did a release especially for Record Store Day then the digital release came a couple weeks later.
