Anaplasmosis; Prevention, Management and Treatment

The third session of the 2023 Ohio State University Extension Beef Team’s Virtual Beef School was broadcast via ZOOM on March 8th. The second portion of that evening’s program featured OSU Clinical Veterinarian Dr. Justin Kieffer as he described the symptoms and impact of bovine anaplasmosis and management practices to prevent, manage and control it. Near the end of his presentation Dr. Kieffer also described changes coming to the way current over-the-counter medications will be handled beginning this summer and what constitutes a valid Veterinary-client-patient-relationship. Here, Garth Ruff introduces Dr. Kieffer and his presentation.
