Yeah...um...the SR 71 is a reconnaissance jet, not a fighter. The Eagle is still probably the fastest. It is definitely the fastest if you count the V-Max feature.
The SR-71 NEVER WAS a fighter aircraft. It has always been a reconnaissance aircraft. The SR-72 will also be reconnaissance-based. The S R stands for STRATEGIC RECONNAISSANCE. That means it takes pictures and does not carry missiles.
With the prefix"SR" ,Strategic Reconnaissance. No weapons on this plane. The SR-71 was orignally designed as a interceptor, thus when it was planned it carried YF-12, experimental fighter plane.
Incorrect according to books written by Ben Rich and Kelly Johnson. The A12 Cygnus was the first plane in the family. This was the CIA version. Shortly after this program was initiated, the air force came calling. That is when the SR71 went into development. While that development was going on, Kelly got the idea to turn the SR71 into a long range interceptor. That was when the 3 yf-12's were built. It should also be noted that there was actually a fourth version in this family too. The MD ( I forget what numbers followed the MD ) This was an altered A-12 that had a very ( for the time ) stealthy drone mounted to it. That drone could be launched at mack 3.1 or 3.2.
The Blackbird is a RECON and SPY aircraft. It was NEVER meant to be a fighter. The Blackbird depends on its SPEED and STEALTH as it's only weapons. SR-72 Darkstar is still in development, and is not likely to be in production for at least another decade.
A couple of comments: 1. Someone once said “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.” This video sounds like a slick sales presentation. 2. If we are working on such projects the Chinese likely have important information about it from compromised contractors.

And propably sr-73 is ready to fly.

The USA, UK, Israel and others have been working on energy weapons for sometime. It is logical to assume that one would/could be fitted to the worlds fastest aircraft, to enable it to perform the Interception role.
I like the taunt to foreign intelligence, “Is this what your satellites have been seeing or is there something more?” As many assume, US military technology often leads public knowledge by decades. The NSA had LLMs in the 90s and has been shaping public sentiment with bots since the early 2000s. Our crumbling infrastructure, and the inflation that buttresses it, is a monument to our military might. Politicians have been bought, sold, and sacrificed on the altar of Apollo by interests spending unfathomable amounts of human wealth and future prosperity, to make these marvels of human ingenuity. This is our scorched mark on history. These knife-edged triangles and their hidden lineage are our pyramids. The only ones who will ever truly appreciate this pinnacle of human creation, will never live to tell the tale. Death and destruction, and the pockets of obliterated civilization, will be the only testaments left to the future.

Yes. Glad you poi Ted this out for viewers. And at those hyperspeeds, human pilots would be killed by Gs and inertia.
We have a scalier weapon that takes the wave form out of em energy, allowing the particles to travel faster than light. I saw a video of a soviet general saying the USSR had it too and put it into service but they had so many problems they took it out of service and back to research. He said he didn't know what happened to it after that. @@TheDrRJP
@@jordanburrill7182you need to watch more Star Trek.
Same as it ever was. The human race as evolved through warfare. Every weapon is countered, pushing technology forward.
Yeah...um...the SR 71 is a reconnaissance jet, not a fighter. The Eagle is still probably the fastest. It is definitely the fastest if you count the V-Max feature.
the concord passenger jet as almost as fast as the sr-71 LOL
The SR-71 NEVER WAS a fighter aircraft. It has always been a reconnaissance aircraft. The SR-72 will also be reconnaissance-based. The S R stands for STRATEGIC RECONNAISSANCE. That means it takes pictures and does not carry missiles.
Your correct and incorrect at tge same time. They said it had a Lazer so that's a weapon.
7500 mph!!! 😳😳 your average bullet goes 2000 mph!!! Wow!!! Very impressive!!!
3 800 fps, sir!
Seeing the blackbird in flight is one of my favorite memories!!
There is no need to produce the SR72 because the SR71 was retired because we have sattelites now...
@@davidjones8942
There is still a need. We still use the U2.
A couple of comments: 1. Someone once said “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.” This video sounds like a slick sales presentation. 2. If we are working on such projects the Chinese likely have important information about it from compromised contractors.
if its prefix is "SR" (Strategic Reconnaissance) then it IS NOT a fighter otherwise it would be an F-72 or an F/A-72. F= Fighter F/A= Fighter/Attack
Blackbird is not a fighter. It is a reconnaissance aircraft.
The SR71 came to life December 1964. Taking the place of the U2 spy aircraft, built In 1950.
I thought the SR-71 was a battle ship….but now I know it’s a fighter….thanks!
This is something when I was growing up as a young kid reading in Popular Science and now it's finally a real thing this is incredible Popular Science was ahead of its time
SR-71 is not a "fighter" it is a reconnaissance aircraft.
Very nice presentation.
While we have allowed our enemies to corrupt us, from the inside out. And our current gov has destroyed our economy and culture.
I'm reminded of ancient Rome.
Something just flew over my house at tree top level below radar. The size of a huge bomber with strange lights shaped like a backwards triangle under it with neon lights and very little noise. Never seen nothing like it I hope it's ours.
flying below radar isnt a thing anymore for near-peer fights
Where do you live?, Roswell?
i have seen something similar in 2012 at Greece ,flying low ,fast and without any noise or atleast no noise for how close it was and had some kind of lights or propulsion underneath in a triangle position . like one light forward , two lights and three lights in the mid and four lights in the back. i thought it was an American secret tecnology aircraft , propably was sr-72 darkstar. And propably sr-73 is ready to fly.
@@gpatoy5976 being conspiratorial that sounds more like the infamous aircraft given the nickname "tr3b" by people who believe in it
I took a girlfriend of mine to see Top Gun she just retired from the AirForce as a KC135 boom operator after 30 years her reaction to dark star part on top gun was hilarious she said under her breath it almost looks like the real thing then she got quiet, and just started laughing I didn’t bother to ask her, knowing that she wouldn’t tell me anyway same with some of the stuff I saw many many years ago lol
Pure Awesomeness 💪
This is why there are secrets, that most people don’t need to know
When you say that the SR-72 has a laser you are speculating. No one knows what weapons it will carry, if any.
The USA, UK, Israel and others have been working on energy weapons for sometime. It is logical to assume that one would/could be fitted to the worlds fastest aircraft, to enable it to perform the Interception role.
Japan is testing a railgun
Unencumbered with factual references, of course
The Air Force said it would do Mach 6. On my calculator, that's faster than 1900 mph. It can't shoot missles because it will catch up with it.
when you hear and see it like this it is already replaced.
Whenever I hear someone say "X breaks the laws of Physics" I know they don't know what they're talking about.
The SR71 is NOT a FIGHTER, dudes.
Are you auditioning to write the dialog for the next airship-video?
While in the Air Force stationed at Kirkland AFB I saw the SE-71 a couple of times. Once while it had a tire which caught on fire in flight.
hmmm..Wonder why they did not show a single real photo of it.
ALWAYS keep your adversaries guessing. We can neither confirm nor deny the existence or capabilities of this 'airframe'! ;-)
I remember as a kid long ago, my father got me an SR-71 toy from the 60's. Wish I still had it! 😉
I called Lockheed Dynamics and Martin Aeronautical for some help at a top-secret airline manufacturing facility inside the USA.
PROJECT DARK STAR is a joint collaboration between Lockheed Martin and Davis/SAAB
Those are my hyper ramjet TSCHsfj (turbo supercharged super fanjet) engines. I am the United States Of America's number 1 premier top-secret Defense Contractor.
I have 1 working prototype with 4 more near completely built at a cost of $8,000,000,000 dollars U.S. per unit.
But it did carry an “F” designation for a short while The F-12.
Till Robert McNamara got really angry with Kelly Johnson, over his pimping of the F-12 to various Congressmen, and ordered the Advanced Machines Tools, owned by the DoD, but loaned to Lockheed to build the Blackbirds, returned to the Pentagon. Then he had them destroyed.
So no more SR-71 Blackbirds or (A-12 Archangels the faster, larger CIA version) could ever be built again.
the SR-71 was never a fighter aircraft the YF-12 was the very short lived prototype fighter version. 2:00
They had 13 A-12s and 3 YF-12s. There were 32 SR-71s, which were developed from the A-12.
Yes it's out there already, I've seen it driving across Az, man was it moving then and at a very high altitude. Look up tr3b and I've known about this for 8 years.
Happy hunting and keep looking up to the stars
The TR-3B and the darkstar are different planes. The TR-3B is old technology for sure.
Have you ever heard such bullcrap? Honestly, this guy shovels it by the truckload.
Idk if anyone else noticed but while talking about the tempest program the plane they showed had USA markings
Now lets make it 300 seater
nothing can break the law of physics. no darkstar project has been announced
It's not just Jets that are fast. Missiles too. Martin Marietta was building the Sprint Missile in the 70s that reached Mach 10 in 5 seconds.
Vintage America with engineering and technological innovation
What sort of guns did the SR have
Absolute none, nor did it have missiles. It WAS NOT a fighter, but rather a strategic reconnaissance aircraft. Also, it still holds the record for the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft. There was an A-12A version built as an interceptor that carried missiles in the belly of the fuselage. But it didn't go into service.
@@lsmith6378Didn’t need them at that speed
No mention of the Lockheed YF-12? The actual fasted fighter ever flown. A two seater interceptor version of the A-12 reconnaissance aircraft, armed with three AIM-47 Falcon missiles carried in an internal bay.
😊had a Revell model of that about 1968.
Great model, real bugger to paint neatly.
I’ve had the name DARKSTAR since the PlayStation 3 came out so see it here years later makes me blush☺️☺️and I Carrie the same name on everything gaming systems out there even pc
We can spend money to build this but can’t build a border wall! WAY TO GO GOVERNMENT!
This is what happens when we pay taxes. Will ever get a ride in it since Americans taxpayers paid for it
Alright so when is the new ACE COMBAT coming out lmao. This video is awesome!
Mach 10 ... nuff said & oh my wow : O
Saying these things are fighters is a joke. Imagine going to shoot a rocket from this and then outrunning it... I've heard some wild $hit, but this video takes the cake.
When did the USAF declare the Darkstar to be real? What's your source for that claim?
1974 ,That's the year I saw Darkstar at the base theater on Offutt AFB. If they were showing it at SAC headquarters, it's gotta be real, or reel...😉😉
tGreat. But, That doesn't answer the question. The AF has not released any statements publicly declaring the existence of Darkstar. @@ErikHenrichsen
@@fortesfortunajuvat6782 I wasn't trying to answer the question because I have no idea if this aircraft exists. It's doubtful they would tell us about it anyhow.
I was being facetious. Dark Star was a silly, comedic Sci-Fi movie released in 1974.
Bravo, US Air Force!
I'm sorry, but I can't watch the rest of this... the SR-71 was not armed, it was not a fighter. SR Strategic Reconnescence. Fighter planes are typically an F designation, though some attack A designation could act as fighters to defend themselves. And claims of Mach 10? I have a very hard time with that, as NASA's rocket plane only hits 9.5.
It'd be fantastic if the engineers resolved the issue of leaking fuel due to the expansion and contraction with temperatures changing.
Tell me you’ve got ufo aircraft to learn off without telling me you have ufos.
The man in charge of Lockheed 25 years ago said that we had the ability to take ET back home
yeah, in a body bag.

XB54 had been in development for 35 years now. Allegedly its a sister of the SR72 or perhaps better stated a helper. I worked on one end of manned aircraft then there is a remote control version over a drones capabilities. XB54 can stay in space for weeks using solar arrays for power and life support...
The SR-71 was not a fighter. It was unarmed and able to outrun any ground attack and outclimb anything after it.
The SR-71 was never a fighter aircraft, it was a reconnaissance aircraft!
Ow that’s what I call a fighter jet!
this dude is such a salesman, he belongs on car adverts!

Hopefully this design wasn't included in what Joe Biden gave the Chinese for the 50 million in cash Biden family received since 2016.
Its amazing that they can build these things, but the automotive industry cant seem to build a small pickup that gets 20+ mpg.
SR-72 is designed to be a UAV
This guy sounds like a poet! Now that we see it, you can bet there is something else in the making or made I should say.
Effective Lasers cannot be fired as rapid as this especially aircraft mounted.
The recharge / recycle time is their one of many limiting factors.
I thought the sr71 was a reconnaissance plane
Darkstar crashes, pouring it's light into ashes.
The USAF on it's own is dominating, but we have connectivity throught our armed forces. 🇺🇸
Everything I find regarding the SR-72, other than THIS video, lists top speed as 7,400 km/h versus 7,500 mph. That puts max velocity at mach 6, not mach 10. Far more believable.
Disagree -- the speed of Mach Ten is 7672.69 versus Mach 6, which is 4603.61, unless you have switched from KMPH to MPH and you had a calculation error somewhere.
SR-72 was also a capable bomber...
By bomber you mean it can carry a stand off cruise missile, or something like.
Not dropping, 1,000lb, 2,000lb, 5,000lb bombs from 30,000 feet.
